General Motors - My car door won't shut

2010 Cobalt less than 28,000 miles, 3rd car door to not be able to close. Now I can not drive it as the door just swings open. Someone will have to ride in the back seat and hold the door while I drive to repair shop. First time it happened , I came out of the Dentist office and my car door driver's side was open. I thought I had possibly not closed it right. Nope . I had to call for help to get home. Got it fixed. The next door to go was left rear passenger side. We were stopped to go to the store when I realized The rear passenger door wouldn't close. Thankfully I had other people with me and one person held the door while I drove home. How dangerous this is as the door will not latch and just flies open when driving. Someone could fall out the car or the door could hit another driver's car. The door has to be taken apart to fix it. That time I called General Motors and they did pay a little of the bill. I have read similar complaints about Cobalts. This is so frustrating and I am angry. I can't drive anywhere until this is fixed. Is there a recall for this? How can I get help.

Bought a new 2015 Tahoe that has been the biggest piece of junk that I have ever owned. It now has 19,000 miles on it and has been in the service department for repeated repairs. Twice for the navigation system, twice for the collision avoidance system, needs to go...

I'm really not surprised that everything you've complained about has nothing to do with actual vehicle operation but are cheap unnecessary add-ons which inflate the purchase price of new vehicles.

The more excess junk that is added simply constitutes more potential problems.

General Motors - Broken Radio

2.6
Details
My radio on my 2015 Silverado changes channels on its own, screen flickers and goes blank. Its under warranty and i took it to my dealer where I bought it brand new. The dealer tried to update it through GM and they told him the radio was not the one that came with the truck and would not fix it. I bought the truck brand new and have never changed my radio and am extremely unhappy with GM. I cant imagine customer service being worse than accusing your customer of changing radio and basically calling him a liar. I guess it will be ford next time.

General Motors in Pryor Creek, Oklahoma - Seat BEZEL in 2012 GMC Acadia

1.0
Details
I bought my vehicle new in early 2012. I take extra effort to have my car serviced on time, to clean it and take proper care of it. I was hoping I wouldn't have to buy another vehicle. Last week the bezel on the drivers seat came completely apart. The plastic part is so brittle it fell in pieces. I would say that is a bad design and product. I only have 66,000 miles on it and think this is unacceptable. On top of having to buy a new bezel they also charged me labor and a fee for writing the work order. I am really questioning what the crap happened to your quality products and workmanship. When I graduated from school my first car was a Chevrolet Nova. Good purchase. My next car was a Pontiac Lemans GT, another good vehicle. Then I bought another new Lemans in 1973 loved it. Then a new Chevy Van, another Nova but it leaked and dealership couldn't fix it. Bought a Jeep wagoner, was a big mistake, so bought a new Buick Regal GS. I only kept it 4 years as it was too small for our family. We bought a Ford Explorer, was a good vehicle but I need more space for grandchildren. We owned 2 Chevrolet Suburban after that. The transmission went out on first one. Second was a 2003 and I traded it in on the Acadia. I paid a lot of money for the Acadia and now I am so wishing I had my Suburban back. I just wanted you to know I have been a General motors customer for more than 50 years. The quality just isn't there anymore or the desire for the dealership to please the customer. Why would they even think about charging labor and fee for typing a order. That is hard for me to understand. I have always been a strong defender of buying American. From this point I won't be so vocal about it to my children and friends. Seems like GMC doesn't care if they keep their customers. These charges for repair put a hardship on me, as my husband is a disabled veteran. We struggle to make ends meet as it is. I will be getting ahold of you district rep. or offices in Detroit. I had to vent as I see your company in a different light then I use to.

General Motors - wrong size jack and wrong size spar for calorado truck

why do you say one size fits all when the jack wont jack truck up all the way to get tire off truck when it is flat. it is great for a small suv you need the jack that goes with the 2003 selverado for the calorado truck's. and you need to put same size spar that is on the truck instead of one size smaller than what is on the truck.

General Motors - Chevrolet disappointed

2.5
Details
I took my 2015 chevy cruze to the dealership back in July and been fighting with gm to fix it. My right turn signal reflector came off and now it's inside the headlight. The dealership said the whole headlight would need to be replaced . My turn signal reflector is orange witch chevy no longer makes it. They make the turn signal reflector clear now so they would have to replaced both headlights for them to match. The dealership said that they have seen this happen before. Gm is refusing to fix it when its clearly a defect in the part why else would it come off. They said if i had my bumper to bumper warranty then they would fix it. It shouldn't matter since its a defect in the part

General Motors - No service support for 2017 Chevy Volt

2.2
Details
Scheduled a service appointment for a couple of recalls on the VIN number of a 2017 Chevy Volt. The part required for one of the recalls was not in stock so the service department scheduled the appointment for a week later to make sure that the part arrives. Showed up at the dealer for the scheduled appointment. The person who scheduled the appointment was nowhere to be found. The “Volt specialist” was there but he claimed the computers were down and he could not perform service or check for parts in stock or otherwise. He estimated the recall service would take about 2 weeks when in fact I was assured that it would only take 1 ½ hours. Said that has 4 other Volts waiting for him to get to them. No loaners available. No courtesy shuttle available FOR ME! Suggested for me to go to the dealer that delivered my car who may have more Volt specialists. “Volt expert” did not know what to do to have me out of there without providing any service.

I found a part number on my own, through a Toyota dealer, even though the Matrix didn't have a roof rack like the Vibe did. Strange.

Still, GM could do a better job of supporting owners of earlier models. I have always been a GM guy for most of my 60 years, but if they...
