We have a 2012 Suburban that started rusting last year. Took it to the dealer and the dealer "repaired" the rust.

9 months later the rust is back in the exact same spot and dealer will not repair it again because it is now out of warranty. GM and the dealer will not stand behind last years repair because they say no parts were replaced so there is nothing to warranty. Our position is parts should have been replaced and the workmanship should be covered for at least 12months.

I have taken the vehicle to 2 other body shops and both have said that the repair performed last year was unsatisfactory at best. It is obvious that the original rust was never removed as should be done in a proper repair.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Monetary Loss: $3500.

Preferred solution: Vehicle PROPERLY repaired under warranty.
