General Motors - 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Review from Millville, New Jersey

1.0
Details
DO NOT BUY ANY GM PRODUCT!!!!!! I have 2010 camaro rs v6. The car has 28,000 miles! It has been overly maintain through its life! Oil changes every 5 weeks! Plugs and air filters every 5,000 miles! My check engine light comes on, i check the code, its the timing chain!! How the *** does a car with less than 30,000 miles need a timing chain? Of course my warranty is up so i call around for a est. $2500!!!! Thats just the the timing chain! I was told there is a good chance that my cams oil pump and multiple other parts may also need replaced, pushing the price to $5000!!! After some research i find out gm knew the chain was *** from the start but never did a recall? Yet i get recall letters on nearly a daily basis for my keys and a light bulb by the back bumper that may get hot and melt some paint??? Im sad to say GM no longer gives a *** about their product or their customers! I know it does not bother a huge company like Gm but i will never buy another car from them again! Im going monday morning and trading in my wifes brand new malibu for a honda!

General Motors in Roseville, Minnesota - Repairs to Saturn Outlook

I own a 2008 Outlook XR, with 128,000 miles. Ten months ago I spent $4,200 on a new transmission. Today I get in the mail another recall letter related to the engine. It states in the letter that the repair is under warranty if under 120,000 miles. I am 8,000 miles over 120,000, so I will have to pay for that as well!! Today I am told by my Tech that the Timing Chain needs replacing, to the cost of $3,000. The Technician said I might need a new engine since the timing chain needs replacing. Cost for a new engine $7,000 to $8,000. Im speechless! I'm potentially looking at a total cost of $11,000. The Interior/Exterior of my auto is in impeccable condition, because that's my Responsibility. There have been 6 Recalls on this Outlook, two that I could not claim, so I had to pay for those repairs myself. With general maintenance costs and upkeep like tires, I will have paid an additional $18,000 more than what I paid for the Outlook. I'm appalled, GM should be ashamed. This is not fair to someone who buys GM autos. It's well known the GM Lambda platform did not work out well for GM during those years...That is GM's Responsibility. I will be blunt but remain calm. What is GM going to do for me with regards to these upcoming Cost. I believe that asking GM to pick up the cost of the Timing Chain/Engine repair, is more than fair. I'm so upset that this is happening to me and my family. Thank you for your time. Todd Cummings 651-245-9439

I have worked in the automotive field 32 years and have never heard of releasing fluid from calipers. If the fluid was "released " from the front calipers and you had no fluid at the wheel cylinders in the rear then you had no brakes, period.

You could not stop the vehicle. The reason the lawyer does not want your case is because you do not have one.

i own a 2000 chevy impala that leaves me stranded. i have to call for a ride at least once a week. i unlock the car, get in. sit down. and close the door. put the key in and NOTHING. I have replaced the tumbler, the electrical mechanism, and all associated parts.also contacted my gm dealer and they tell me they can't do anything but they may take it on trade if the car is in good condition with no problems that they can find. seriously? dump govornment motors problems off on another person! no thanks. as soon as i can afford it,with the tow bills and repairs, i will buy foreign cars. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

To be fair, the car IS sixteen years old. How many miles you got on her?

Just FYI, most "foreign" cars are manufactured right here in the good ole U.S. of A.!

But I'll agree that I've experienced better performance from my Toyota than I ever did with a Chevy. Good luck.

General Motors in Wellington, Texas - Bad outside door handle design

4.0
Details
The drivers door outside handle came out (what holds it in must have come off inside the door. I searched it on google and many many people have had the exact same failure. The car is a 2008 Buick Lucerne that has been garaged all of its life and it has 60,000 miles on it now. When I checked for a recall since it is a common problem I found that there has not been a recall. The replacement of the outside door handle is a $175.00 expense caused by a poor design. The chromed plastic opener is not strong enough and the clips or the slip on fasteners are not strong enough to hold it in the door.

General Motors in Mathis, Texas - Worst Customer Service and Bad Product

I purchased a 2014 Chevy Silverado in Feb 2015. Since then it's been at the dealer shop more than I have had it in my possession. Started with a leaf spring bushing had to be replaced due to squeaking. Next was a u-joint popping had to be replaced. Then the entire engine had to be replaced.(15,000 miles) That engine didn't last 100 miles before it started knocking due to no oil in it and there was no leaks. Now it's getting another engine installed and I have called GM and asked for some assistance in getting me out of this vehicle and into another. Not asking for anything free, just another vehicle with no money out of my pocket and keep my payment the same as they are currently. Their Senior Customer Support Specialist (Jordan) has informed me that nothing they can do but put another engine in it. I am officially done with GENERAL MOTORS and will make sure I tell this story to everyone I know who has or is thinking of buying one of their products. I will be picking the truck up with the new engine this week and visiting every Ford, Dodge and Toyota dealer within 100 miles of me to trade it in for the best deal I can get.

General Motors in Monument, Colorado - Made in Amercia

I have just read that General Motors have moved their factories to China. After purchasing 5 GM's and about to purchase another, we will no longer buy General Motors vehicles. Let China have them. American made for us only! It is disgraceful that the American taxpayers bailed GM out and now the US is not good enough to put our citizens to work. I hope GM finds out this was not a good move. Shame on you for cheating loyal owners of GM products.

General Motors in Saint Petersburg, Florida - 2004 Grand Am Dash curling

When this first occurred my car was under warranty and they fixed it. Now that it is out of warranty I was told it was customer misuse. In other words its my fault. It was not my fault under warranty but is now. Go figure. No wonder they stopped making the Gran Am line of automobiles. Just for information, I have had these repairs also: two fuel pumps, all four electric windows repaired (some twice), windshield wipers were sticking not moving, rear section light assembly leaked water and had to be replaced, radio digital display went out, outside molding around windshield replace for curling. No more GM cars for me.

General Motors in Camarillo, California - New car A lemon

Bought a new 2016 Buick Lacrosse on Nov. 9th 2015, on Nov.21st second time I dove it the front fender liner blow off, scaring me to death. Then the third time I drove it was on Nov. 30th and the fender came loose again toke it back to Paradise Buick. Staff was great, but I think general motors should let me have a new car, and take this one back. This car is a death machine. This car is a lemon.
