General Motors in Naperville, Illinois - Was sold a 2014 chevy Cruze with open axle recall

Bought a used 2014 Cruze from my local chevy dealer. It was a certified vehicle. The car fax showed a open recall for a defective axle. The salesperson, and sales manager informed me that they couldn't sell me the car unless the recall was fixed. And they said it was fixed. This was in July 2014. In November I bring it in for a oil change at dealer and the chevy service tech told me that there still was a open recall on the axle. The same recall that I was told was fixed! After researching the recall while waiting 2 hours for them to fix it I found out that gm issued a stop sale order on all vehicles with this problem until they are fixed. But somehow I was sold this vehicle anyway. I'm very upset because I drive my CHILDREN IN THIS VEHICLE!!! When I confronted they sales manager they really didn't deny or confirm my accusation. But "for my inconvenience he offered to give me a full tank of gas"... Is that really all it takes to sweep a federal offense under the carpet?

After many talks with service manager and then finally sales manager they finally agreed that they made a huge mistake selling me the car. The solution?

I told them I didn't want the car anymore. They traded it in for me and gave me the 18k that was paid for it. Even though I had it for 6 months and 6k miles.

I'm satisfied with the result and will continue to do business with naperville chevy.

NOT HAPPY! This is my second GM vehicle, and most likely my last. I bought my 2010 Enclave in 2010. It had to have the engine replaced with approximately 50k miles. Approximately 1 year ago it started having issues with transmission and engine/fuel line. I don’t...

General Motors in Charlotte, North Carolina - 2010 Camaro SS LS3 engne blew up

Issue still not resolved but I found out the steps others need to take. 1. File a customer service complaint. (the DMA in my case the DAM.....Dumb *** Man will have to justify his decision) 2.File a BBB Autoline complaint. (DMA has to do it again) 3. File a complaint with the Executive Office by emailing a complaint to the CEO (They will have to answer it again) 4. File a Department of Justice complaint with your State Attorney General. (N.C. required them to respond within 15 days (by now he is really pissed just like we are) This is where we are at right now. To our benefit he was not consistent in all the responses so I hired the nastesty attorney I could find and gave all this documentation to him. Filing a lawsuit in N.C. is only a $125.00 filing fee and $200 to my attorney which is payable by GM because they did not go to arbitration. As my attorney said my $125.00 will cost GM's General Counsel thousands of dollars to answer the complaint. We will drag it out for years which will $$$$$$ them. In the long run I may not get my $5K back but I will let the CEO know through their General Counsel that the DMA in Charlotte, N.C. who by the way is Gerry Bryant is a liar and has reported different explanations along the way. Max cost out of my pocket will be $500 which is a deal to make him Pissed Off like we the buying public. So Mr. Gerry, I may not be rich but I have the 1st Amendment on my side and just enough money to make your life a little more stressful. Pass the word that GM products SUCK and your lying employees are worst than your product. GM employees email address are their firstname (.) lastname @ gm.com good luck and never give up, they make you jump through hoops so you will give up. My plan is to file a complaint ever six months on this matter until resolved.

I AGREE TOTALLY GOING THROUGH THE SAME THING WITH GM AT THE MOMENT WITH A 2012 CHEVY CRUZE. YOU HAVE TO LEARN TO PLAY THE "GM" GAME WHICH I THINK IS JUST PATHETIC WHEN THINGS THAT GO WRONG WITH THEIR PRODUCT FROM THEIR CONSTRUCTION (OR DESTRUCTION) IS AND SHOULD BE THEIR PROBLEM BUT IT BECOMES THE CONSUMERS. HAVING HEALTH PROBLEMS LIKE I DO I CANT PUSH LIKE I SHOULD BUT I AM REALLY TICKED OFF KNOWING THEY ARE SO WILLING TO SELL ME THE CAR BUT NOT SO WILLING TO BACK IT UP ...

General Motors - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox Review from Suisun City, California

I currently having a problem with my 2010 Chevy equinox. It doesn't start and locks the car, my neighbor has the same car and he is experiencing the same problem. I an very nervous to take my car anywhere. It's fairly new and I think the warranty is going out and that's why this is happening. I would like to trade it in but I don't want the same car and I'm not going to add the remaining balance I owe for my equinox to the new car and that's 20,000 dollars.

General Motors - U- Joint Leaking Grease

1.0
Details
2013 Chevy Silverado 4x4 rear drive shaft, the front U-joint leaking grease 28000 miles. U-joint on new cars and trucks do not have grease zerks, they are seal bearing type. Replacement parts have grease zerks. So you can grease them. U-joints on new truck can't be greased. If they leak grease out they go dry, then this will cause U-joint to fail. Took to dealer ( Al Serra, in Grand Blanc) for repair, dealer wash grease off, said nothing wrong. Called GM complaint line. They said look in to it. Finally called me back said they contacted dealer. Dealer said it was to GM guide lines. Wouldn't do anything for me. So GM and Dealer ( Al Serra) feel it Ok let it go until it breaks loose and possible cause an accident.
