General Motors in Hamptonville, North Carolina - Dealer unable to repair vehicle

Dec 11, 2013 my 2005 Buick Rendevous was placed in Black Buick in Statesville, NC to replace the pump for power stering. Since then, atleast seven parts have been installed with no results. My patience has ran out which is why I am writing. The customer service staff has been very courteous and professional but I have to question the mechanical service or the manufacture of parts. It is time to go outside your supply chain and purchase the part so this matter can be resolved. Please contact by e-mail at mpc0812@yadtel.net or telphone at (336) 753-8431. Marshall Cain

General Motors in Toronto, Ontario - Gmc 2010 terrain sucks

I purchased a brand new 2010 Gmc Terrain in December 09. After 2 years needed a brand new engine. I'm a single mom with 2 boys and a special need child. I specifically told the salesman I needed a reliable car, yeah listen to what he sold me. New engine after 2 years needed a new transmission the year after. Was left stranded on the road twice with 2 kids inside. Now I have an oil leak. Bought a brand new car so I wouldn't have problems. Going to take this further very disappointed with the vehicle. Anyone want to contact me Anna a.ranieri@live.com

My wife fell in love with the Chevy Suburban so we ended up purchasing a loaded 2007 Suburban LT with 27K miles on it. We absolutely loved the styling and size of the truck, but we soon realized there was a big issue just over 40K miles. The truck died on my wife when...

General Motors in Vinita, Oklahoma - Questions concerning my elderly grandmother's vehicle

I went into Bob Hart Chevrolet in Vinita, Oklahoma on January 2, 2014 at approximately 1pm asking if a manager was there and had an employee ask if I was mad, yes I realized I went in and asked a very brash question about if he made a habit out of screwing customers over. This tall, red haired, bearded man, one whom never introduced himself, in turn told me that I had no right to know about my grandmother's vehicle and her being charged for a service that she never wanted nor agreed to. When it comes to my 70 year old grandmother who I care for on an every day basis, and monitor and help her with her finances, it does concern me and I do have a right to know, even if by law he can't tell me anything regarding her note, he could at least answer my questions and not give me the run around with asking questions in return and blatantly ignoring mine. He then proceeded to treat me as a child and tell me that I was acting like one, even though I am a 22 year old female with a college education, yes I work at a fast food establishment and yes I was still in my fast food job entire because I had just come from work after working my eight hour shift, but he told me that he doesn't come down and tell me not to put pickles on hamburgers. I left the building because I was not going to stand there and be treated in such a manor, yes I did use foul language but when something comes to money everyone usually gets a little upset and heated. He then proceeded to call my place of employment telling them that I was causing a scene at the dealership trying to get me into a fracas with my employers. There should have been no need for him to act like a "child" and bring my place of work into the matter because it did not concern anything to do with my job. This man, once again that never introduced himself, acted very unprofessionally and treated me with such disregard, and intentionally or unintentionally tried to have me terminated from my only means of income. I do not appreciate having a personal attack as retaliation to possibly making this man look like a crook. As far as I'm concerned I will never do business with Bob Hart Chevrolet or General Motors, and you can thank that tall, red haired, bearded man in Vinita,Oklahoma. Great representation on your company General Motors, I applaud your efforts for having friendly employees.

General Motors in Dallas, Texas - 2007 Hummer H3X OCD 0128 replaced Thermostat

I was getting check engine light, OCD 0128, replaced thermostat, light went off, then a week later, top of the radiator starting leaking coolant. Went to Sewell and had to replace itand 1100.00 later. I contacted GM and I was told that my VIN is not a recall for this issue. However it is still a Hummer and others have had the same issue. GM contacted the whatever he is called at Sewell and he makes the final decision. I shall see, GM needs to stand behind their products, and more people would buy their products instead of imports.

I have a 2011 Equinox and have been having these same problems sporadically for around a year. I have heard that this is caused by corrosion in a wire harness or that there is an issue with the timing belt. So far the dealership has not been able to provide a long term solution, the longest a fix has worked is 9 months before it acts up again.

General Motors in Pearland, Texas - Chevrolet Passes Supplier Defect Costs to its Customers

I will try to be brief. I own two vehicles, both 2010, one a Tahoe and Suburban LTs. They are now 2-3 years old with around 50K miles. It started out with the Suburban's dash cracking around a year ago. I thought it was bizarre that a dash would crack as I have owned around 10 vehicles none with cracked dashes. I took it in and the dealership said they would fix it for over $1000. After I gave them an ear full they miraculously remembered there was a GM program to help assist with their defects which brought the cost down to $200. I was upset because they are still charging me for a defect they induced and handed down to me. I bit the bullet and just paid it. End of 2013 my Tahoe dash splits too! I called the dealership...same BS $200. I call GM customer complaint center and talked to a Jamela which was a waste of time. After telling me I would get a call within 24 hours...a week later I get a call saying they can't do anything for me and I have to pay for their *** quality. They are passing their quality defects to me and you the consumer. Come to find out they know about this problem but we are paying for them. The money here isn't the real issue, it is that Chevy thinks I am blind to the fact that they spend a lot of time stripping out costs they also strip out quality and want me to think this is normal wear of some sort. They are losing out on all future purchases because of $200. I was considering buying two new SUVs this coming year which they lost because of $200. $200 is more than they spent on the resources used to create my complaint case, research, time spent talking to the dealership and feeding me a bunch of horse$hit. I will never buy GM again! I will spend a lot of wasted time making sure I help people understand they should not buy GM. I will be on every customer complaint board, forum, social media...I guarantee they have just lost more than $200.

General Motors in Wallingford, Pennsylvania - OMG dont buy buick

I have been banging my head on a brick wal for 6 months. I just got chastized on your live chat and was pretty much called a crackpot yesterday by your executive office ( which sounds like a glorified call center ), I still have a problem with water not draining from all 4 doors of my encore. I am trying to resolve it before the doors rust out, but was told yesterday by one of your "team leaders" that i refused a neede repair for that issue .... REALLY !!!... and all this after my car was delivered dirty and damaged by ( from his comments to me ) a homophobic manager at the dealership. all i am looking for is a contact for some one who can help me, not pat me on the head and tell me its gonna be OK.

General Motors in Rockville, Maryland - Cracked engine block

Update by user Oct 25, 2013

Bought new from dealer.

Original review posted by user Oct 24, 2013

2002 Camaro SS LS1 engine. 70K for milage. Dealer said block is cracked. GM does not make or have replacement block. Nor does Jasper. GM customer service no help at all. Nice, but no help. I would like compensation from GM!!! Some help would be nice $ My parents have always had and still buy GM. It is all I have even had, but if this is their service or attention to a customer, I will not purchase again. All I want is someone above the customer service on the phone to get involved and a reasonable solution. It hurts to have trusted GM all these years only to be let down by them.

I believe you left something out here. Did you buy the vehicle from the dealer that told you it had a cracked block?

If so, before or after you were told.

If purchased used, the warranty is whatever you agreed to with the seller, if any. I do not understand how GM would be responsible for a cracked block on an 11 year old car with 70K miles?????
