First of all i purchased an brand new Ford Ranger back in 1999 ok.I went to purchase gas a while letter at an EXXON SERVICE STATION ok.As soon as i got ready to get up on the freeway to go home guess what my check engine light popped on.I had know idea what the problem was so i carried my brand new Ford Ranger back to ford where i purchased the vehicle.I told the tech what had happen when i went to purchase more gas and The tech asked me two questions.(1)Did i leave my truck running while filling up.(2)Where did i purchase my gas from.He stated that where ever i purchased my gas from probably had water in their gas and He told me not to get gas there no longer.Upon learning this i have never purchased gas for my vehicle at the EXXON SERVICE STATION and My vehicle check engine light has never came on again. So in saying this maybe where ever you purchased your gas from had water mixed in with the gas causing the check engine light to pop on.Be careful where you purchase your gas from.

Stay as far away from the Chevy Cruze as possible. The cars sticker says 27MPG City, 38 MPG highway (most drivers 31-45MPG highway,They removed that from the sticker after I complained) I use this car ONLY for highway use. It has a 1.4 liter engine with the turbo....

I just purchased a 2013 Chevy Cruze LTZ with the 1.4 Turbo motor; 6 speed Auto>

I have been commuting for 30 years now (Santa Maria to Goleta) one way 62 miles.

The only true problem I am having is the gas mileage. I am not even close to getting 38 MPG.

I knew this when I bought the car> I was hoping to get at least 35 MPG. I set the car on Cruz control.

(68 mph appox.)

If am lucky; I get 31 MPG. I am pretty disappointed. The tires are inflated correctly. Not too many hills.

The car only has 26,000 miles on it.

I had a 2003 Honda Civic that showed it should get appox. 40 miles to the gallon on the sticker. I was able to get 42 plus from that car.

Any hints on what can be done to at least achieve 35 MPG.

Not sure where to go to from here. I am almost ready to trade it in. I understand cars pretty well haven driven for so many years.

General Motors - *** engineering know problem without recal

I recently purchased a minni van with the 3.4 motor. It only has 90 000 km on it I have a large family and need my van. On the very first time that I took our van on a family road trip it began to over heat. On dyer the inspection I found that the intake gasket had blown. I have phone several reputable mechanics about the issue and have always recived the same story. They are notorious for blowing the intake gasket and chev refuses to do any thing about no recall not even so much as payment assistance in rectifying the problem. So I strongly Earge all people to boycot chev motor products all together as this has been an ongoing problem sine the early 90's and yet chev does nothing to support its customers. If you google google this you will see that it is indeed a very common problem and many people have spent thousands of dollars again and again to keep their piece of *** chev on the road. Now having said that with the 3.4 their are a great many other chev motors with the identical problem i.e 4.3 5.7 3.1 and the list goes on. Now what you might not know about your leaking intake gasket is it can cause some much more costly repairs to your vehicle up to and including the need for and entire engine. Not to mention the horrible inconvenice you may be placed in if you happen to have the unfortunate luck of having this happen away from your residence such as hotel bills food and most shops that I have conversed with have told me that it will take a minimum of 6-8 hour work that can't be completed until the proper parts are located and shipped wich could take 3- 10 days.

General Motors in Southaven, Mississippi - NEW CAR ***

Update by user Oct 19, 2013

To this date I still have NOT gotten any satisfaction. My car is STILL not shifting properly, it still jerks alot, the Tech at a GM dealer said it is NORMAL for my vehicle to get over 5K RPMs before shifting, and shifting hard, I have had my life put in danger 7 times, my Vehicle is falling apart, parts falling down on the bottom and on the inside, this car now has ONLY 7300 miles on it and is nothing but a LEMON.

I have put a sign on in and drive around "Advertising" For GM... Latest from GM Executive offices is that there is NOTHING they can do this is all "NORMAL" well when this NORMAL gets me very badly hurt or God forbit, KILLED, my family will be very well provided for then. I am tired of GM and their attitude of not caring about their LOYAL customers. I even read off all 23 vehicles from GM that have been bought at my household in 12 years time.

GM DOES NOT CARE THEY ARE MAKING JUNK JUNK and MORE JUNK. DO NOT BUY GM EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

Original review posted by user Sep 18, 2013

I purchased a 2012 Buick LaCrosse in Dec 2012, in the past 9 months I have put almost a whole 6700 miles on this car and it has tried to kill me 6 times now. The back window was over tempered and had such a horrible glare it was deemed unsafe by my local police department and almost caused me to be in an accident. Buick replaced that. The Link system for the phone, it cost me a 40K a year job because of THREE updates that should have been put on it while sitting on the lot before I even bought it. Then on my way home from getting dinner one night, the transmission went out, there was NOTHING, my car stopped in the middle of one of the BUSIEST intersections in my ara, an 18 wheeler baring down on me almost hitting me broad side, thank God he saw I was not able to move and He did. Then the front air deflector fell off as I was driving down the interstate at 70 MPH came off the passenger side, went up under my driver side front wheel and almost tipped my car over. Now my vehicle jerks from the transmission, it won't shift, gets up to over 5K RPM and I have to put it in manual mode and drive myself, it gets sluggish and wont move when needed and does not perform as it should EVER. I have called GM and had SIX SR's opened, they have closed them ALL and done NOTHING for me. You would think that with a family that has had 23 YES TWENTY-THREE GM Vehicles in 12 years that they could get some loyalty shown in return. Government Motors does NOT care about the customer ONLY Their pockets. I am waiting for this POS to cause me bodily injury so I can rename the company because I own it. The last so called customer service rep I spoke with was nothing but rude and incompitant, she needs to be fired and never hired in any sort of customer service job ever again. I have tried contacting many people at GM and to no avail they do not care, the CEO making over 11 million a year needs to take some sort of responsibility for the company He runs. I Doubt he would let his wife or child drive a POS such as this 2012 LaCrosse they sold me. They don't even understand that my buying a GM pays their paycheck, I had to explain the way it does. I buy from a dealer, the dealer buys from them so if people stop buying from dealers they stop buying from GM and GM goes under and the dumb-*** are out of jobs. I AM SO DONE!! I cost them at least 3 sales yesterday by telling my story because people love my car and I can not tell them i love it to go get one, I have to tell the truth and tell them to GO BUY NISSAN!!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM GM THEY SUCK!!!!!! I say my loss is the total purchase of around 34K but to fix everything I am sure it is around 8K.

First of all SIX THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED miles in 9 months is very low mileage, while national average is 1500 per month in nine months that would be 14,500 miles, so i am almost EIGHT THOUSAND BELOW national aerage. Second, it is a BRAND NEW vehicle and no i am NOT advertising for Nissan it is GENERAL MOTORS.

In less than a year a car that has put you in life threatening situations SEVEN times that is a huge problem. ALL maintenance is and will be done on my vehicles always. I have TWO certified mechanics in my home.

I do not need a dealer for that. It has NOTHING to do with what i have or have not done, it is just a LEMON and a POS and GM is JUNK and since the Government OWNS them it has gotten worse.

The onlyest comment i can make at this time is i live my GM HHR.I have never had one problem with my vehicle period. At the present time i have 3400 miles on my vehicle and It still runnings very well.By the way i own a 07'HHR.In the last 9 months you put 6700 miles on your vehicle,You evidently must live in your vehicle.Since you are putting so many miles on your vehicle,Are you taking the time to service your vehicle or Are you just a driver with no clue as to actually having your vehicle taken care of by an professional?Something does not seem correct about this post.Evidently you have not heard about the problem's Nissan is having with certain vehicle's of theirs because you seem to be advertising for Nissan. And know i do not work for any vehicle dealership.Maybe if you give your vehicle a rest and Take better care of your vehicle the vehicle will service you better.

Thank you for your reply Anonymous. I am replying as Anonymous due to the fact i cant get logged in.

I appreciate your support and this car is a lemon. What the rude one does not understand is with the vehicle i have i don't have to have i serviced as often as her "perfect hhr" this vehicle i have is also getting tied up in that HUGE new recall on the ignition problems where the vehicles are cutting off and they have had a lot of deaths from that, this vehicle has been nothing but problems since about 1400 miles on the vehicle. I still have problems with it, I have to drive it manually to get it to shift properly, I know how to take care of my vehicle on my own I hate that rude people have to take the side of GM that has made yet another JUNKER. I am married to a Master Mechanic one that most likely could out do any mechanic that works on these vehicles these days and he works on the HIGH TECH fun things of the Cat Heavy Equipment, I trust his word more than i trust GMs and HE KNOWS what is wrong but GM wont listen to that so He went and bought a FORD.

My next car will be a Nissan, Toyota or Mazda. Forget GM and all their JUNK.

General Motors in Alliance, Ohio - Bad GM services period.

Took my 2007 Chey Avalanche for service work on breaks and service light that came on. Well, after several visits , service department finally approved to clean injectors and a couple weeks later I was back for same problem. At same time I went back to figure out why my temp.on my onstar mirror did not work, I was told I needed a new mirror at $500.00 or $700.00. I figured it might of been a sensor but what do I know. Although I was told that it was not. Well I needed to make sure that the shop was not right so I took my truck back to Texas and come to find out I was getting stiffed. Everything the shop at Alliance, Ohio did was not needed and the mirror they wanted me to buy was just a sensor. And brotors I bought were rusted and flaking off, so I spent $7,000.00+ on my truck that Iot need. So what do I do now?

General Motors in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng - Chev Captiva

We bought a 2008 Chev Captiva 2lt Diesel 4x4, three and a half months ago from GM in Vanderbijlpark. Approximately 2 weeks after purchase the vehicle went into Limp mode and the GM took it back to assess the problem. We then got the vehicle back after a while and soon after it again went into limp mode. This went on for approximately 2 to 3 weeks, during purchase date. We only had the pleasure of driving this vehicle on and off for about 15 to 20 days of the three and a half months we had this vehicle. After many complains and fights the branch manager and area manager decided to withdraw the Captiva and replace it with a suitable vehicle to our liking. We did have a cutesy vehicle for the time been but we were not happy to drive any of these vehicles because this was not our own. We then decided to take and purchase the demo Chev Trailblazer 2.8 that was our last cutesy vehicle because GM could not repair our Captiva and we lost interest and confidence in the Captiva range. I then requested the selling price of the demo Trailblazer that we were using currently and Nati from GM Vanderbijlpark and the area manager Clinton were present on my request and Nati informed me that the reduced price of the demo Trailblazer was R380 000,00. I then told them that I want to purchase this vehicle at that price, but after a couple days the salesman Billy informed me that they can only supply me with a cheaper Trailblazer because they have to make up for the loss of the settlement on the Captiva. I feel that this is unfair that I have to pay for their loss of selling me an unreliable vehicle that I did not have the pleasure to drive. I suggest that they must reconsider and sell me the demo Trailblazer that I’m currently driving; otherwise they leave me no choice but to take this matter further. General Motors in Sallisaw, Oklahoma - Multiple failures on a part and they refuse to pay for it

I have a 2006 H3 and a 2010 H3T. Both have had a failure with the Heat and air blower connecter and resistor. The 2006 was repaire and has been fine. February 2012 the H3T was repaired an now, August 2013, it has failed again. GM refuses to pay for it or issue a recall. Obviously there is an issue that needs addressed. I intend to buy another new car in 2015, and it will not be the Corvette it was going to be due to the terrible customer relations. The dealership has reduced the price, but I feel GM should pay.

General Motors in Buffalo, New York - Pissed off

So my wife works the overnight shift at general motors in tonawanda ny and she's a older woman and the younger new male employees are always coming in high off marijuna and during breaks smoking it in the parking lot. They brag on how they passed there drug test by buying products that allow them to pass and still continue to smoke. So there working on the line and also machinery. So I'm not sure what we should do? she doesn't want to tell then they find out it was her and fear for her life. My question is what will General Motors do about this now that I had to go this route to complain. She has advise some of these gentleman have only been there clse to 90 days so hy aren't they getting tested again. I mean being high or intoxicated can cause injuries to others .so if something was to apen to my wife with one of tese accident best believe charges will be pressed and General Motors will be owned by me.

Yeah, you are going to own General Motors all because they may have some employees who smoke marijuana. Good luck on that.

FYI - there is no product that will mask the THC in your body. There are products that claim that but they don't work.
