General Motors - Theft

To whom it may concern My name is Martin my sell 0825646458. I work for G4S I took my vehicle in today 16 July 2013 for a service at GM ontdekkers. Micheal was the person who helped me in the morning. By the afternoon when I went to go pick up my vehicle my cordless drill was missing the case, spare battery and charger was still in my bakkie but the cordless drill was missing. I phone Micheal to inform him about the situation he said he will investigate. So I feel it's my duty as the victem to go to Krugersdorp news and tell them about my story for other ppl not to make the same mistake as wat I did. If been taking my vehicle to Williams hunt in Midrand for the past 2 years and nothing went missing. Not even my coins wich is gone as well. And the sad part is when I phoned my friend to tell him about it he said the same thing happened to him but his was a gps device...

General Motors in Los Angeles, California - HHR braking rattle

So much for buying American. On going problem with shaking car while braking I am almost sure the car will fall apart soon. This is a serious problem yet they refuse to fix or recall. I have replaced the rotors and brakes and problem returns. I would have to say it a problem with the design. Take it to the dealer and they act like you are crazy and dont know what you are talking about. This issue needs to be fixed as it could cause some serious accidents. How do you sale a car with a known problem? Guess stuck with it for now.

I have a 2007 HHR LT.And i have never had a problem with this vehicle before until my passenger door handle broke off.But to solve this problem i went online to GM Parts and Purchased the door handle kit for $60.00.Other than this minor problem this is a very well built vehicle.

General Motors in Edmonton, Alberta - What a joke

I have reviewed many many postings on the website Edmunds and I have a similar problem to them... my AC system no longer works and I'm being told that the evaporator coil will need to be replaced. I currently sit around 110,000kms. It seems to me that from the number of issues and complaints there should have been a recall, but there's nothing. This is not a mechanical system that is affected by number of kilometers driven and this is clearly a defective coil. http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/WebX?14@@.f1e04a5/208#MSG208 GM won't even have the conversation with me about coverage. They want me to pay for the repair at a GM dealer and they will then review the case. AKA: We are going to get boatloads of money from you and then leave you high and dry. Would I buy GM/Buick again? *** NO.

General Motors in Apple Valley, Minnesota - 2004 impala ss passlock system faulty

Drove my car to my friends house and shut the car off. When we went to go to the store the car started and the security light was flashing. Upon leaving the store the security light was still flashing and the car would not crank. Learned online that you need to reset the passlock system by waiting with the ignition on until the light turns off. It worked but the problem happens still at random. Knowing that there is a problem with this system why has gm not put out a recall. Instead expects the customers to take it to a dealership and have them put in a new cylinder and brain for the system that only has a 7 year lifespan. I have always lived gm and chevy but after this issue will no longer buy another chevy

General Motors in Dayton, Ohio - Gas fill location

I currently own a 2012 Chevrolet Impala and I was considering trading it on a 2014 Impala because I like the new styling and I wanted to get some options I didn't get on my 2012, but there is one thing they changed on the 2014 different from the 2012 I can not accept. Some *** engineer moved the fuel fill location from the driver side in 2012 to the passenger side for 2014. They only have two choices for the fuel fill location. Why not make it convenient for the driver. I will not buy a car with the fuel fill on the passenger side. Goodbye Chevrolet sale.

It's because they want to protect the driver in the event of a accident to make it where it won't catch fire on that side as quickly. I don't agree with the choice as I put my child on the passenger side so I can watch if needed.

Filling can be difficult at times when station is busy but more cars are on the passenger side then you think.

My experience with GM customer service representatives is just as shady. They say one thing when you pay for the work the first time but when you return, needing more work, they deny all responsibilities related to the issues you are having with your vehicle.

They even denied me a warrantee that I know I should have had on the labour.

Plus, they charge an arm and a leg for their absolutely shameful problem-solving skills! I did some research and found the problem that I was paying them to fix!

General Motors in Fort Smith, Arkansas - Traction control issues

My name is Randy, I have a 2009 Saturn aura. I have been the same issue since I got the vehicle in Januarary. The service traction Control and ESC light comes on and the car loses power at that time. i have been taking the vehicle to Harry Robinson service in Ft. Smith,Arkansas. At first they said it was the engine and replaced several parts on the engine. It ran for awhile and started doing the same problem. Now they say it may be the transmission. they keep giving me the run around. They looked at it Wed,say they didn't have time to check it and told me to bring it sat.i took it Sat,they kept it all morning and didn't even look at it.he say they were short handed and was real rude. I have a car that is giving me so much trouble and is dangerous to drive and GM service guys can't figure out the problem. Is there anything or anywhere i can go to get this resolved. They told me it was covered under powertrain warranty, now they telling me it's not and i may have to pay. please help

General Motors in Cold Lake, Alberta - 2007 - 2500 Sierra Diesel

Since purchasing this truck in Dec/07, we have had a visit to the Hoist every 10,000km's on average. At 32000km, the block heater fell out & the engine siezed. That took 6 weeks to fix. Everytime we turn the key on, something seem to go wrong. There are 120,000km's on this vehicle and we worry every time we plan any kind of a trip with it. Be it 10km's or 500km's this pile of junk can't be trusted. Recently we drove it from Cold Lake Alberta to Moose Jaw Sask. +- 700km's non stop other than fuel. Should have had a clean exhaust filter. We drove about 15km's around town in Moose Jaw and the "Clean Exhaust" light came on. GM can kiss my rosy red you know what goodbye! Pathetic over priced junk!

Since my original post, I have been dealing with General Motors regarding some sort of compensation for the grief I have been through with the said hunk of Junk. After about 2 weeks of communication back & forth with a woman at GMC, and my request for $5,000.00 credit towards a new truck, they offered me $2,000.00 credit!

I told her it was unacceptable and nothing short of an insult considering I have handed GMC +-426K since 1993. This is the kind of treatment you receive for being a loyal customer of General Motors. I have also priced out Fords & Dodges since this all came about & the value per dollar appears to be above GM for both Ford & Dodge.

I will never purchase a vehicle from GMC again. They put the Icing on that Cake themselves!
