General Motors in Detroit, Michigan - Chevrolet isnt committed to customer satisfaction!!!!

I purchased a 2010 Malibu in January or 2013 and I drove it for 2 weeks and one day it wouldn't start. I took it to the dealer to see about having it fixed assuming that it was covered under the power train warranty. The dealer said it wasn't covered. The PCM (Power Control Module) needed to be reprogrammed and updated was the diagnosis. I called the 1-800 number for GM. The initial person I spoke with said that the PCM was covered under the emissions warranty of my vehicle. She said that the part was covered and I could get a rental that would be covered until the repairs were done. I was pleased. I received a call back saying that the part wasn't covered and there was nothing they could do. So essentially now I owed for the repair and the rental car because of someone elses mistake! I was upset I was given wrong information and that I drove the car only 2 weeks before having a repair bill larger than m car note before I even made my first payment, and now I have a rental car to pay for as well!. I mentioned this to the representative and she said its nothing they could do although I have more money to pay because I called them and relied on the information given to me by the rep. That doesn't matter that I am out of more money when I am already frustrated about having a repair bill so soon that is not covered in the first place. The representative said the "reprogramming or updating is not covered but the replacement is" Seems kinda backwards to me. Seems like no one really cared and I was just out of luck. Seems like if they made quality vehicles this shouldn't happen especially seeing I only had 56,000 miles on the vehicle and its "Certified"! That's not quality...that's ***!!! My warranty manual has the PowerTrain Control Module listed as covered under the Emissions Warranty and doesn't give any specifics as to the replacement or reprogramming. I asked if the representative could give me this in writing stating that the replacement but not the reprogramming is covered under the warranty. I was placed on hold for 20 minutes and when she returned she mentioned that there was misuse of the car and that voided the warranty. So not only did she not provide me the documentation but she also made up a story there is no proof of to cover to avoid having to provide what I asked for. How do I misuse a car? I drove it! Its a CAR!!! The only resolution they offered was to help me with 10% of the repairs. Bottom line. If you wrong someone...fix it! Chevy knew it was wrong I purchased a vehicle and only drove it 2 months before I had to make a major repair. They also knew the rep I initially talked to told me it was covered and told me I could get a rental car which turned out to be at my own expense because of misinformation but because there is no law forcing them to do anything about it they are not. Help people you know you have wronged whether the law forces you to or not! Its just good ethics. It will come back to you if you do. That's a true commitment to customer satisfaction. I will NEVER purchase another GM vehicle and I will encourage everyone I know to never deal with GM. The cars are overpriced and not quality and the customer service is very poor! The only thing they are committed to is getting over on the little guy smh... Signed, An EXTREMELY PISSED OFF customer Leon Thompson Detroit, Mi ltshod@yahoo.com

General Motors in Port Saint Lucie, Florida - Disgusted with the poor 2014 Corvette, that it for me!

Where does GM get off, Hyping the *** out of a car, you couldn't pay me to own, and believe me I've owned over 7 Corvettes over the years, and have never been so dissapointed with such, a giant Letdown. I own now a 2005(C6) Corvette that has spent more time at the disgusting chevy dealer, than in my garage....and now to introduce a 2014 Vette that looks more like a Poor Camero, It almost looks like Chevrolet could care less, any way they always have the Government ready to bale them out. Why couldn't they at least produce a car that we were teased into believing (Watch the latest Transformer Movie, to see such a spectacular silver car that the world and myself would love to own( Even being a Chevy, as we all know are *** from the word go)I don't need to buy a $65000 Camero. I hope they rot on the lots...

General Motors in Port-Of-Spain, Port-Of-Spain - Disappointed

Good Morning, I am a very dissatisfied customer, I saw the chevolet cruze about four years ago on a car show in my country, I thought I must have that vehicle because I was very impressed. I purched my vehicle on 7th December 2012 so its been about two months. When I received the vehicle and drove it I was not too impressed because the pull off was slow and it seemed to have a miss. I thought it was a new vehicle and it must take a little while to kick in. I noticed a rough idle and my husband mentioned it on our first service. We were told it is normal. I then heard a schreeching sound when I touch the brakes the the company told me that it was normal they test drive it but did not hear it. The next day my check engine light came on I took it backt to the company checkes was run. They changed the coil pack I took the vehicle the next the light came on again and the vehicle began to vibrate. A technician came and he changed the plug wires. I took it home the next day the light came on again and the vehicle began to vibrate, I tried to move it but it cut off and there was a loud noise coming from the engine. I am so disappointed the reason I purchased a new vehicle it's so that I won't have car troubles I am a female and I take my todler to school and I was late for work got home late. However the technicians took the vehicle to the head office and the vehicle is under checks the company finally told me that the brain box is not functioning properly and they need to change it. I do not want the vehicle because I am afraid I would get further trouble with it. Can you please assist. My cell phone number is 186830955258

General Motors in Rochester, New York - Failer to notify current owners of defects

After 35 yrs of owning GM Vehicles,I Purchased my 2005 GMC Canyon used in 2009 with 68,000 miles, now with 105,567 miles the Valve Issues I have just learned about now because the truck gave a code P0302, After calling GMC they would do nothing for me to help with a Service Bulletin that I never received due to not being the owner in 2008 when the letter was mailed to owners at that time, they dropped the ball on keeping customers informed, My truck exceeded their service bulletin time and mileage. Now I have to go to a dealer and PAY out of my pocket the $4,000 repair, I would of gladly paid a small portion of labor if they covered the parts they screwed up from 2004 thru 2006. THANKS GM

You are an *** if you expect integrity, good value and service from Government Motors

Service bulletins are not recalls! They are not sent to customers.

They are instructions for the mechanics on how to correct an issue. How do you expect GM to notify you if you are not the original owner?

You should have called or visited a dealer when you bought the vehicle to find out if there where any recalls or special coverage. You can't blame anyone else but yourself for not checking into it before.

General Motors in Port Saint Lucie, Florida - The New C7 2014 is an insult to all former costomers

The Latest Corvette (C7)2014 is a total abobination, If Stevie Wonder was in the Car Design business, well then we would all understand this car being the uglyist design ever. Only good thing is now my (C6) will be going up in value even faster....People are not going to spend so much for a Camaro on Steroids....GM ..You have a definite LOOSER. That's OK since our friendly Government will be right there to bail you out, as you build those Monstrosities. but it still hurts to see the new Vette......maybe you'll sell a few hundred if things go good for you...Good Luck

General Motors in Rochester, New York - Alignment

I have a 2007 Chevrolet Impala. Since I have owned this car I have had nothing but problems keeping tires on this Vehicle. I rotate every 8000 Miles and still have gone through 3 sets of 225 55 17 Tires which are expensive. I always purchase good tires with a high mileage rating. This Is the first car I ever owned where it cost this much to keep on the road due to tires. I was told buy many repair shops thaty this car has this problem. I want GM to fix and replace the weak parts on this suspension to maintain an alignment.

General Motors in Calgary, Alberta - 2010 Cobolt - Clutch burns out early

I had purchased a Cobolt 2010 as i have been a loyal customer with GM for 30+ year as my parents love GM and said that they are reliable. I drove the car for about 1.5 years then i started to smell burning from teh car i checked the car but was unable to determine where it was from so naturally i figured probably just using the brakes too hard. Then at 2 years the clutch started to slip making the car fall out of gear. I brought it in to the dealership and asked it to be looked it. They came back and said that the clutch is worn and it is not a warranty item. THis colbolt is still under the 3 year 34000km warranty and they told me that i had to pay for this out of pocket. I went to customer care and they did an investigation about this and came back saying that it is due to bad driving habits that this clutch is worn out and hence will not be covered underwarranty. I have a cavalier 2003 which i have been driving until i purchased the cobolt 2010 and to this day the cavalier still has its original clutch and hence i can say that i can drive a manual transmission perfectly fine. So therefore i had to escalate this to the manager and after 2 weeks more they came back and said that this will not be covered and that they will do nothing about this as this is due to bad driving habits. So i say this if you are ever considering a GM vehicle don't and save your self the costs and the headaches. They will not help a loyal customer and when anything needs to be fixed under warranty they will try to find everything and say that it is your fault. Hence DO NOT BUY GM they are *** vehicles now and speaking from a loyal 30+ year customer of GM i have to change my tune and say they are junk now and avoid them at all costs.

General Motors in Calgary, Alberta - GM CUSTOMER CARE (WHAT A JOKE)

Had a 2005 Pontiac G6 with electric steering problems that I paid the dealer to have repaired. My mileage was 8,000 to 9,000 km over the 240,000 km stated in their letter to allow me to receive reimbursement. I figured what the heck, maybe they'll give me my money back minus the 9,000 km worth on a pro rated basis. Customer care ( what a joke) said no in no uncertain terms. This is a corporation that I have spent over $70,000.00 with since 2005 including financing costs. Looking for another new car this summer. Going to send them my bill of sale for a new fully loaded Ford Fusion since they don't give a **** about customer retention. GM will not see another penny from my family.
