General Motors in Youngstown, Ohio - Never Ending Warning Lights???

I have owned a 2002 Buick Rendesvous CXL for several years. I love the car, EXCEPT I have had it in for repairs almost 20 times for an ABS and AWD warning light coming on when I start the car. Both dealers and local repair shops state that the wiring in the senosors is shorting out and causing this, but when they repair a section, another piece breaks??? My latest fix (2/2010) caused the repair facility to state, that GM Should RECALL these SUV's. How about it GM? Can you admit that you engineered a bad idea? Or can you just count your bail out money?

The only good GM car is one under warranty, and then good luck.

I've owned Jaguar cars with less electrical problems than the Gm cars and truck I've driven. Never again will GM get a penny of my money but looks like they took some of it anyway with the bailout.

Maybe they should look into replacing their electrical components with some Lucas component's ,they seem to last longer.

General motors

the cars and trucks need to be serviced and repaired...some of the new electronics are too much for the most advanced mechanic... the tag along electronic with ostar xm nav airbags dvd windows heated winshield fluid seat belts adjustable seats heated seats moon roof ..well you get the idea...a thought would be to go back to the old days when it was all seperate...i just have a feeling everyone involved with repair would breath a sigh of relief....ps this has been swept under the rug by every dealer.....so the gm factoy knows but they cant fix it either and now the bag lights are on and cant go through inspection.....3rd radio and 1000s of dollars go by a toyota...

General Motors in Toronto, Ontario - Speedometer not working properly

Speedometer started to have a mind of it own. I would stop working all over the dial, then start again but now is stuck well pass the numbers..I don't understand why there is no recall, it should be classified as a safety issue, but apparently isn't, not sure the cops would not think this is a safety issue. There are many many reports instances of their failure but no follow up from GM It is a chevy cavalier in perfect working condition with exception of the instrument panel, and why would I replace it if there are so many complaints, it will fail again

The only good GM vehicle is one under warranty, the electrical problems ie.. sensors, digital dash, elec motors and wiring make the old Jaguar cars superior in every way.

General Motors in Tucson, Arizona - Noo customer service at all

Just sitting here trying to get some basic info to maybe buy a new gm product and there is not even a customer service readily available on web sites anywhere. No wonder they don't sell as many cars as they used to. You can't even get info on their *** websites. All they want to do is keep playing you over to their dealers who don't know their *** from their mouths so all they do is talk ***. I am not a computer genius but neither is the average car buyer. I would think they would want to know what thier customers think as well and would make their customer service number or email the biggest thing on their website. Instead I get to post here.

Do not do it. Buy anything other than a GM Product.

My car has been sitting in the shop for a month now and still no part. It's costing me a fortune because I have a car payment and rental car bill. Does GM care ? Obviously not because I've contacted their toll free number twice and all I get is don't know when part will be in and sorry for your inconvenience.

Yes going bankrupt is tad more than inconvenience. DO NOT BUY GM.

Just bought a new Toyota. Made in USA but not by union thugs.

And, Toyota is not part of the Obummer administration.

This is my first Jappo car and we'll see how we like it. Will never, ever buy a GM or Chrysler product again.

Does General Motors grasp the concept of quality?

Problem: Bad casting for GM heads in certain models. Heads are cracking around the Head bolts allowing coolant to bypass into the oil. I own a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab Z71 in excellent condition. It has 114,000 miles but this is not an abused work truck. This truck has been well maintained and is used for travel and honey dos around the house. Problem defined: It doesn't matter how well you take care of something if the product is manufactured incorrectly or with defects. Research: I have several friends with GM products who I contacted to inquire if they were having the same problems. Three out of four (75%) of the vehicles have this problem. Vehicles: 2004 Chevrolet 1500, 2004 GMC 1500 and 2003 Suburban Mileage average for all vehicles: 91,000 Repair Cost: $3000 Replacement Cost: $5000 Parts: 75% of the repair or replacement cost. General Motors refuses to make this right.

I spoke with GM several times but it's seems 100,000 miles is a catch all for all problems, major and expensive even if GM manufactured them wrong.

Its ok, I usually don't stress about the big stuff. I see my wife and I spending at least 150 grand on vehicles before I leave this earth so it should probably be spent with a company that can afford to fix their problems without Government assistance.

The minute you have a problem with a dealer you need to walk away. That's what I have done for decades. Any dealer who apparently thinks they are doing ME a favour by selling me a car or who lies to me does not get my business---ever.
