General Motors - Changing headlights

Why are most of GM car's 2010 and newer you have to take the whole front of the car off just to change a headlight??? Headlights go out and if you are not mechanically inclined you have to take it to a dealership and a $15 headlight ends up costing $200 or more you think they would have made it easy to change! For example 2011 Malibu you have to take the entire nose piece off to change a headlight! Poor design!!!
