General Motors in Pickering, Ontario - Fire all GM Salesmen

GM can be proud of thier cars and trucks but there is no way they can be proud of thier Salesmen. My wife and i have gone to several dealerships with the intentions of spending $35,000 on a 2010 Chevy Traverse. They act like your a inconvenience to them. We settled on a price, took a test drive only to come back and be told the price has increased. Or we settle on a price only to be told later that our Loyalty discount has been decreased by $500.00 or our cash for clunkers amount has been reduced. They even wanted us to hand over the Goverment $300.00 that we where eledgable to get for trading in our 1994 minivan.Fed up with salesmen we sadly went to a Carbroker who purchased our new Traverse for us.Shame on those people and GM for puting us through this bad experience.

General Motors in Miami, Florida - GM NEEDS TO RECALL PASSLOCK SYSTEM PROBLEMS IN VEHICLES!

I have a 2000 Monte Carlo. I bought it brand new. I am having pass lock system problems. This problem begin about 6 months after my car was bought for my daughter.I saw the security light flashing and the car wouldn't crank until when it wanted to, maybe 10 minutes later. It wasn't the battery. Whereas, I have noticed that there are so many people complaining about this problems on several websites. If there are other people out there having this problem as I have already researched, we should let GM own up to this problem and be held accountable to repair these vehicles for us. First, we got to stick together and complain to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration by calling 888-327-4236 extension 23064. Suppose we are riding down the road and the car just cut off? Who know we might be in fast moving traffic. Please let begin an effort NOW for GM to recall these vehicles now! We need everybody that have ever experience this problem and who is having this problem now to call the above number. We can start our own recall because GM is ignoring us. Call the number above and make a complaint. I did. You can too. Call today! Our voices should be heard by GM!

I have a 2003 Chevy"piece of ***" Suburban. I bought the truck used in 2010.

After 3 months the ignition would stay on after I removed the key draining the battery. I changed the ignition switch. From that day the truck would start sometimes and I had to do that famous 10 minute reset like the car was being stolen and had a wait to reset the security system. Lately it has been taking 30 mins.

Took the truck to the dealer. $599 later- changed passlock sensor. Worked fine for 1 week then same problem. Back to the dealer.

$525 later changed Body Control Module (BCM). Working ok for now.

Let's see what is next... Even the guys working at the dealership say this passlock system is ***!

General Motors in Naperville, Illinois - Chevy service sucks

Recently I had trouble with my Pontiac G6 a/c. The compressor would work intermittently, but usually only 20% of the time. Usually on the hottest days, the a/c would not work. I brought the car to the Chevy dealer close to me, namely Ogden Chevrolet and encountered incompetence that would make our last administration even embarrased. First and foremost, the service manager, Cory was rude and insolent. Then the service people could not find the problem. I brought the car in three times because they would release the car back to me not fixing the problem. We wasted our time and patience and the summer was getting hotter and they could not find the problem. They ran diagnostic after diagnostic and couldn't find the problem. Everytime I brought it in, the service staff got ruder and ruder, like we were making their lives difficult. And the best part, the car was under warranty. I believe that if the warranty had run out, then they would have found the problem and recommended many other repairs so they can add onto the bill but because of the warranty, they could not make any money except the deductible. That's how dealers make money. Finally after keeping the car for 3 whole days for a simple a/c problem, they realised that it was a simple fuse issue and still charged me the whole $100 deductible despite a cheap fuse problem. GM must have very expensive fuses, note to all. Good luck to all to own GM cars...

I agree. We have a 2006 Duramax, that GM cannot seem to fix.

It now has 82,000 on it and the warranty will soon run out. We are a GM family, we actually just bought a Malibu for the gas mileage. We have replaced the injectors 6+ times as well as the glow plugs. I have called GM several times and the last time I actually got hung up on.

My wife called then and she was on the phone approx. an hour. After getting the run around, she finally got to the main supervisor at customer service and the district manager is supposed to call tomorrow.

All we are asking for is to extend the warranty to 200K. If GM could fix the probably correctly I do not see why extending the warranty is a problem.

General Motors in Newburyport, Massachusetts - GM produces cars with inferior parts that rust and corrode.

My 2005 top-of-the-line Trailblazer XET with just over 30K miles had the AC completely fail and will require a $1200 repair! Apparently the pipe leading to the rear AC failed. This is the second major issue on this vehicle involving major corrosion or rust--the first time the car failed inspection just one month out of warranty requiring replacement of all 4 rotors--$1200 again. GM's "resolution" involved a 20% discount on the AC repair, still leaving me holding the bag for their substandard materials. Clearly GM uses inferior materials (from China, I wonder) and produces vehicles that do not last beyond the warranty.

General Motors in Naperville, Illinois - From Good to Lemon

I bought a 2005 Buick LaCrosse new in March, 2005. It was very good until January, 2010. I maintained it normally all along. Since January, I have put over $5800.00 in repairs. Transmission clutch; leaking water pump took two tries to repair; Bad I-shaft component in steering; wheel bearing; A/C compressor blew up internally (according to the tech - not a Buick dealer - it is a poor design of the compressor. This car went from good to a lemon almost overnight. Needless to say I am very disappointed. Makes me seriously doubt long-term relaiability of GM products.

General Motors in Lebanon, Tennessee - GM

I have looked on the web for about 2 hours for a used or a replace interior door handle for my 2006 HHR, why is it that GM do have these interior door handle they put them on the cars, this part should sell for about $5.00 to $25.00 but GM wants you to buy the hold door pandle for about $250.00. These door handles are plastic and not a good grade of plastic, if you brake the 4 door handles it would cost you around $1000.00 just on door handle replacement. (Why buy something from GM that you can not buy parts for)
