General Motors in Van Buren, Arkansas - First grade education people 24/7 calls, after the account was closed

I'm pissed, when gm ac,hire people with elementary education and English is not their first language, and they expect you to their cars.week after week they waste so much paper and brochures. just begging you to buy their cars.OK so you go and buy (GM CAR) and then when it's time to return the car after the contract, is up.it seems no one in that office knows what to do.and keep sending you letters and calls 24/7 .to me,just bunch an educated idiots, just there for a pay check.no communication what so ever,it's so sad to know that a company that big would run such pathetic business like that.in my opinion ,I'm done with gm ac.too bad so sad gm,wont be buying gm cars ever again.

Well judging from your letter English is not your first language either, nor did you pass the first grade.

General Motors in Littleton, Colorado - GM does not stand by their warranty or their product

We have a 07 Cheverolet Silverado which we purchased new. It has the 5 year /100,000 mile warranty. We were on vacation towing our trailor that is made for 1/2 ton pickups and the rear end went out in Santa Fe NM. Our truck was taken to Santa Fe Cheverolt were they replaced the rear end which was covered by warranty. We got the truck pack and began towing home when the rear end went out again this time causing damage to the axle. They are willing to pay for a new rear end but will not cover the axle, they dsay it is owner abuse. Called GM customer assistance which was no help because they to belieive it is owner abuse. It was suggested by the dealership that we should probable not tow a trailor with this truck. Sorry if this is how GM warrants and stands by their product I do not ever want to buy another GM product and I will make sure everyone I talk with should not either. it has been almost 3 weeks and we still do not have our truck. they also i Believe put aftermarket parts in our vehicle which GM states they use genuine parts ofr warranty work. Go figure.

General Motors in Salt Lake City, Utah - 2009 GMC 2500 HD 4X4

I drove my 2009 GMC 2500HD 4X4 Duramax with only 5000 miles on a gravel road and the rocks thrown from tire rotation cut the speed control cables to both rear wheels. Warranty covered one but not the second cable. The placement of these cables in front of the rear axle which puts them in harms way. I had replacement cables wire tied to the brake lines which are run behind the axle housing where they belong. Seams like an engineering problem and should be re-called and under warranty. It might seam silly but my five year "automotive engineering" degree tells me I'm right. Why one and not the other under warranty ?? When I contacted GMC customer relations I was told, " the truck was not built to be driven off road". What mental giant told this person to tell customers that a 2500HD 4X4 truck should not be driven off road?? I live in the western desert where half of my driving is on gravel type roads. If I had wanted a "street truck" I would have bought a quarter ton rice burner.

General Motors in Fraser, Michigan - GM's gas pedal problem on '09 Impala

Two and a half months ago I bought a '08 Impala from a non gm dealership, the dealership is a 5 star dealership, gm will not cover my gas pedal replacement because its not a recall( yet!), it's the same problem toyota is having! Also I had my car repaired at Auto Lab a respected repair shop, GM is saying that all non gm repair shops are not good enough! The women i talked to at gm said that they have recalled the '09 and '10's but not mine- does that make sense to anyone! This is the LAST gm I'll buy!

General Motors in Los Angeles, California - 2004 GMC Duramax Diesel Emissions Defects $680.46 for mass air flow sensor for egr valve error code

Egr error codes come up told it's the mass air sensor causing it, Cost to install mass air flow sensor $680.46 does not guarantee the egr valves are ok. wont know till codes are erased and reset. OUT of warranty technically by 15 days.but not by mileage of 100k for california duramax diesel emmisions warranty(97320) GM states too bad warranty up. I think GM is grossly negligent in its part to curb emmissions. Should i notify the public via my tailgate expressing my concern, GM now has a higher than thou attitude now that they paid there governmnet loan back. Dont buy a GM product as i have fought with this one since new, steering column still knocks..imagine that..parking brake still might lock up after towing...

General Motors in Decatur, Georgia - No quality at GM

I own a full service car wash and detail shop. I have more trouble with GM products loosing mirrors, pieces of trim, wipers, etc. than any other brand on the market. I am only reporting what I experience. The leather is cheap, the external trim pieces are not attached properly, and the porous alloy wheels are not easily cleaned. And their premium brand "Cadillac" is no better than Chevrolet. Hummers are / were the worst. Ford, and even Chrysler seem to "screw" their vehicles together better than GM. And with the exception of Ford, nothing even comes close to the imports - even Hyundai and Kia put our a better product than GM. We should have let GM go under instead of bailing them out. Produce a quality product at a competitive price and you will survive. Just look at Ford. Otherwise, you have no business being in business.

I am writing this on behalf of a consumer that i made repairs for a 2008 pontiac G5 This car has less than 100,000 klm,and needed ball joints x2.Was not able to get the single joint, had to buy the full assembly. The struts gone, roters gone, rubber mounts gone.I know the owner, and the car was not abused.

\"Let it be known GM\" with your award winning car commercials, and how your \"facts\" like your lower fuel cost`s ect. The bottom line is what the consumer should know on the people who`s protection plan runs out ect. Don`t be fooled by hyped up looks, fancy grills, and headlights. From what i see about the G5 and chevy COBOLT,along with other new models is a desposable money pitt. These cars are all about shiny looks, but lack quality.Desighned to keep the part`s department working hard.

\"WARNING\"..Consumers beware is my message.I have owned almost 200 cars,The repair cost is the worst i have seen yet.

I foresee a \"bailout\" again in the near future.I have other chevy owners telling me simular stories. Another chevy lumana disaster.I hope students, and others take a good look at the \"long run\" before buying a gm product.Good on gas is not much good when you have to spent $2000 in repairs on a shiny G5 that`s less than 5 years old.The owner of this car say`s \"you need a trunk of money to drive it\",and \"maybe i will shine it up,and try to sell it\" Smartin up GM stop bragging, and look at the long run like honda, toyota, subaru, ford, volvo ect.If your going to replace the old models you need to improve more than the looks.I have a ford tauras se,and its 10 times the car any gm has for the money. No parts fell off,and the ride, and handling is as good as new with 200,000 on it.So GM compare that to all the chev`s i seen so far.The fact is gm is only looking at sales to bail them out with anouther camaro, lumana, disaster. It seems GM stop making solid cars after 1975.

General Motors in Wellesley, Massachusetts - Chevy won't pay for a defective harmonic balancer

my 08 chevy impala would lose the power steering every time it was wet out. The dealer wouldn't look at it. COuldn't fit the car in for an appt. After much research on line I found the problem & my mechanic fixed it. I wanted chevy to pay the $239. They refused because a dealer didn't do the work. Great scam the dealer refuses you get it fixed anyway and they don't pay. Bought 4 GM new in the past 7 yrs. Last one I'll ever own!! They would even have a supervisor return my call when I requested it.

General Motors in Fort Huachuca, Arizona - 2008 Malibu is a lemon and GM customer service department is horrible

In 2008 my husband and I purchased a Chevy Malibu. At first we were pleased with the vehicle but after a couple of weeks we noticed that the car was really sluggish and didnt have and "hitch in it's gitty-up." The car was still under warranty so we took it to our local GM dealership to get fixed. We were told there was nothing wrong with the car. Not too long after that the car came our of alignment and messed up a couple of tires. So, we put new tires on and had an alignment done. A month later, another alignment was neede. And again about 3 months after that. Then, the dash started to buckle on the drivers side. We finally got fed up and took the car back to the dealership where we were told that the buckling was from the air bag and there was nothing that could be done. And as far as the alignments go, that we just need to be easier on the car. The Malibu is driven strictly on Interstate and doesnt ever see rough roads. And about a month ago the check engine light came on. When I called the dealership I was pretty much told that I was making it up and that nothing could be wrong with the engine because the car is fairly new. Once the dealership got the car in to check it it turned out that a catalytic converter had gone out on the vehicle...which never happens! We had the worst time with the dealership as well as GM trying to get them to honor our warranty. And then we waited a week for the car to be fixed. The customer service dept at GM had no clue what they were talking about and didnt really want to hear any kind of complaints about any of their products or their dealerships. I will NEVER purchase a GM product.

General Motors in Honolulu, Hawaii - very slow to honor warranty

I have a G.M.C. sierra 2007 H.D.2500. the speakers in the front doors go out due to rain damage every couple years. The first time this happened g.m. fixed it right away. But after the bankruptcy they closed the dealer and contracted with Big Island Toyota to do the work. I started the claim last Dec 2009 and still haven't gotten the problem fixed. G.M.C. is claiming that the parts are being located to be shipped. What a run around I had to take it in twice just for them to figure out what I was telling them was wrong. I have a 52 ***'s pick up and seam to be able to get parts over night for it if I need. What kind of excuse is this that parts can't be found on a 2 year old truck. I'm thinking of stopping payments on my loan to G.M.A.C. until they fix the problem. After all they have broken their contract to me. Going on 4 months here for a simple stereo problem.

Go to a GM dealer. I have never had a problem getting parts from a GM dealer.

Why would you go to a toyota dealer? I 'm sure your nearest GM dealer would love your business especially warranty. Do you live in the Pacifac? Every couple years the speakers go out.

Your truck is only a couple years old. Was the repair made correctly? Maybe that is why GM closed the dealer. Ask them waht they did to repair it.

Did they install the sheild properly? Are the drain holes in the bottom of the doors open? It is not in GM's interest to *** you around. I'm sure Toyota would love to have your speakerless truck as a trade in.

All vehicles have issues, just like toyota tundra frame rust and tires falling out. A gm dealer would get parts overnight most of the time.
