General Motors in Marinette, Wisconsin - GM "Loyalty" cash. What a farce!
I was set to pick up a 2010 equinox tomorrow. The dealer called and said neither my GMC or Pontiac qualified me for the $1,000 "loyalty cash". You must currently own a Chev or Olds? I have had GMC products (mostly Chev) since I began driving in 1969.But I don't qualify as a loyal customer! I could even get $500 if I owned anything other than a GM vehicle. What a farce! With the number of quality car makers out there you would think GM would be more careful than to antagonize their current loyal customers. I am going to buy a Ford escape.
If you buy a Terrain which is a great vehicle, do not look for parts not available from GMC. This vehicle is in such high demand that when you need parts there are none available. I bought one unfortunely it was hit by a deer, yes I said a deer. This happened on...
General Motors in Aurora, Colorado - Why can't I give you money?
I have tried 4x now to pay my bill, which is not technically due yet. I usually pay it with the 2nd paycheck of the month, and in 4 years have never had a problem on phone system doing so. But the system keeps saying zero due, and won't let me make a payment. I have tried to wait for an electronic statement to be generated, hoping that would solve the problem, but to no avail. What the heck is the problem? I even signed up for ecorr today. I am trying to pay this before I end up spending the money, and have never been late. Why is this so hard? Maybe I should change servicers. Pissed Kristy
General Motors in Los Angeles, California - GM ruined Saab good name
Is it just me, or does anyone else think when GM bought Saab in 1989, it ruined a good product? They turned a unique Swedish car into an ugly american car. GM from the start changed the body style to appeal to a bigger american market. The problem with that is, SAAB loyalist (myself included) loved the original body style. Now that GM is trying to rebuild itself they unload the first product that the company has no product loyalty towards. I find it appaulling! They should not have bought the company in the first place. My first car was a Saab, '85 900S (pre GM, thank god). I hope they can find a suitable buyer for the company and bring it back to its wonderful luster of past years.
General Motors in Marysville, California - Apparent
General Motors' 1990 Buick Century Custom Automobile has what I have found to be a non-repairable wiring problem. I have contacted both dealership mechanics and regular auto mechanics who claim that this wiring problem is not worth their time or effort to repair and all (in this area)have refused to work on the vehicle. It is inconceivable to me that I cannot find information from other mechanics nor GM themselves to fix this problem. It has to do with codes 26/27 with regard to wiring diagram. I am completely pissed. I know GM must have an answer.
General Motors in Dearborn, Michigan - GM didn't deliver Silverado I ordered
I ordered 09 Silverado in April of 2009 from Tennyson Chevrolet in Livonia, MI. After I ordered the truck GM publicly announced that some dealership would be closing, but all orders prior to the announcement would be delivered to the dealership that ordered the vehicle from. That was a lie. My truck was built around July 5th, and sat in Flint for over10 daysbefore they delivered to another dealership outside of Fenton Michigan. Tennyson had build confirmation but GM told them that they could not deliver this to Tenneyson Chevrolet. I phoned GM customer service and was given the run around for over a week, only to find out from Tenneyson that GM delivered my truck to another dealership. I could only buy it from them now. Great service GM!
General Motors - Chevrolet Spark - Pashankar Auto, Pune
To,The Manager,Customer Service ( ? )General Motors Subject Poor Service Standards Reference Chevrolet Spark - Regn No : MH 12 DY 8236Customer : Amit N. Hapse Sir / Madam, I became a customer of your companywhen i bought the Spark about 2 years back ... But since then i have been a victim ofmis-selling and false promises from your team. When i bought the car, i wanted the green colour, which was available, but not in the highest version. So my car doesn't have all four power windows ( which i wanted ).But the sales manager of the Pashankar Showroon ( Satara Road, Pune )told me that i can get the rest two power windows, later on. I believed him and opted for only two power windows, with the intention that i will get the rest later on.But now when i checked with the accessories division, they said that such a thing is not possible ! The next issue is that of servicing ... The first free-servicing were done timely and properlyby the dealers ( Pashankar Auto ), but i have since beenwaiting for a call for the paid service ...which is quite unusual, bcoz the dealers are going to chargeme for it, but still they dont care ! The most urgent issue that i face today ...and which makes me waste time and write such a letter to you,is that of false promise by your people ... My car had an accident on 30-Sep-2009, and i took my carto Pashankar Auto ( Sus, Katraj-Dehu Bypass, Mumbai Road )on 01-Oct-2009. That day the person concerned ( Harjeet Singh )told me that it takes time for the insurance people to inspectand to prepare an estimate. So i waited for 3-4 days ...After which i went there and found that the estimate had been done.I asked when would i get the delivery of the vehicle, and, since diwali festival was approaching, also requested an early delivery. But this request was not granted ... and i dont blame for that.I was told that they will try to give me the vehicle as early aspossible and maybe by 18-20 th ... I called them but got the reply thatit would take a few more days, and then he said thaton the Repair Order the date mentioned was 26-Oct-2009 ...and that the car will be ready on that day. So i waited a few more days, and today ( 26-Oct-2009 ) i called to enquireabout the status ... the person ( Harjeet ) said that the car wasn't ready andcalled me back saying that "condenser" wasn't available and they wouldreceive it tomorrow and it would take 3-4 more days to make the car ready ... Then i called the helpline ( 30308080 ) where i registered my complaint.By afternoon i received a sms about my service request no : 15260 Thereafter i received a call from Pashankar Auto Service but the personwas calling from the Dhankawdi Centre whereas my car is at the Sus Centre. The person ( Vishal ) had no idea of the car and said that he will contactthe Sus Centre and also gave me the number of the concernedperson ( Ranjit Jadhav - Cell No : 9860198641 ) ... I called the number many timesbut my call was not answered ... I called up the Helpline again and was told that the required procedurehad been done and nothing more was possible ... So now, what we may gather from all of this is : General Motors has a 24-hour help line ... !but all it can do for its customers is thatnote down their complaint ... send them a sms ...and make someone call them ... This makes it clear that although the helpline is open 24-hours ...there is no intention to help immediately but just follow somekind of procedure to create a "we-are-doing-something" picture ! I had made plans according to the delivery date mentionedor promised by the concerned people ... but since your peopleseem to have a penchant for giving false promises, now i will have to suffer a loss of at least Rs. 1,000 / dayby hiring some other vehicle to continue my work ... I am the owner of a Financial Consultancy company and presently advisemore than 1000 clients for their financial, tax and investment needs.I know what customer service should be ... even our company makessome errors while fulfilling the expectations of our clients. But we never promise anything which we can't fulfill. I now, have no expectations of timely and proper servicefrom your company and its dealers ... and hence i don't hopeto get any reply from you ... because i don't think thatthe management can be ignorant about such misgivingsof the dealers and their employees. But i feel its my duty to point out what is happening ...just in good faith ... this has also been put up for general public at : http://www.consumercomplaints.in/ or http://www.consumercomplaints.in/complaints/general-motors--chevrolet-spark--pashankar-auto-pune-c275849.html Amit N. General Motors in Coral Springs, Florida - Buying Saab was the worst decision of my life
I can say now with confidence that so far buying Saab from GM was the worst decision my husband and I made in our lives! Simply put, the car design is flawed, the car is constantly breaking down and every morning you are praying for your 3-year-old nice-looking car would start, and you can drive to work and hopefully get back without the help of roadside assistance. GM and their branch, Saab USA, is an additional story -- they do anything they can to not provide service you deserve and count on. You keep bringing your car to the talentless dealerships and GM keeps paying since it is still under warranty. Of course, this keeps the dealerships in business! But when you had enough of all of the hassle you are dealing with and you want a normal customer service -- don't expect it from GM! On my request to look into the issue with my car I got the case open and closed with negative outcome. The response was "Dealers did what they thought was right and the problem was 'solved'." (And this was after two recent identical cases were addressed by the two largest dealers in the area before! And now, after just one month, the same problem is back.) When I requested a buyout because the car keeps getting the same issue over, and over, and over again, I was told that the district manager looked into it and they are "not interested"... I was NOT told that they were ready to extend my coverage. I learned it today by chance when I pressed the customer representative to open a new case and connect me to the department that deals with buyouts. So this information was simply withheld from me. We wrote a very detailed letter first to the customer service department in Detroit and than to the General Manager of Saab USA, Mr. Steve Shannon. Guess what?! They never even bothered to write or call us back! Well, I got news for them -- this is not the first website I am filing a complaint with. I filed with BBB, with FTC and myriads of sites out there so consumers will know that when they buy GM they are pretty much screwed and completely on their own! And all their advertising on TV that they think will help them to get out from bankruptcy will not going to help them. If they will continue building unreliable cars and have the horrible customer service this company is a toast! So, my fellow consumers -- beware when you even think on stepping on the parking lot of GM dealerships. It is not going to be enjoyable very soon!
General Motors in Greenville, South Carolina - GM won't allow you to use full earnings
We have been GM mastercard holders since 1993 because we were devoted GM customers. We have used our reward earning 3 times in buying new cars. Now we find out that despite having $2,516.85 in earnings we are allowed only $1,000 per vehicle. (We were looking at a Malibu, some vehicles allow $1,500). We have driven GM vehicles exclusively since 1965 but are very upset at the loss of the anticipated $1,500 toward the purchase of our new car. $1,000 really isn't enough to keep us on the GM car lot. I wonder what kind of deal we can get on a Camery?
General Motors in Orlando, Florida - Service and Detail
Front headlights keep fogging up, they keep telling us that it a Florida thing, funny never an issue on any other car we own. Took my car to get detailed and when it was done the car look worse than it did when I brought it in, it was all streaked and wax was still left on parts of the vehicle. Lock on passenger side would not work they said they fixed it with some minor adjustments according to my paper work, however when I returned their computer said there was never a problem. Their service people need to drop the attitude as well.
