General Motors in Interlochen, Michigan - Refused to repurchase vehicle after electrical fire airbag deployment

I purchased a 2007 GMC sierra new on 03/30/2007. approx. 7 months later the heated seats quit working. Dealer fixed,not the way the schematics called for but it was working,within 3 months the vehicle had an electrical fire. once again the dealer fixed the wiring. On 8/18/2008 while driving the vehicle at 30-35 mph the side curtain air bags deployed for no reason there was no accident and luckily I was able to get the vehicle under control, It took the dealer over 60 days to repair vehicle from air bag deployment. GMC will not repurchase vehicle

General Motors in Boulder, Colorado - Passlock System Malfunction

My Chevy Impala LS occasionally would not start because of the Passlock II system. The antitheft securilty light keeps coming up even after the car was started. Dealership wanted to replace the sensor for $500. There are a lot of similar complaints on the Internet from owners of GM vehicles with similar systems. There is an inherent design flaw with the system. GM should have a recall to correct the problem. It is problem like this prevents people from buying GM products. The had lost a lot of repeated customers because of the inaction. nonetheless I will be buying a Japanese car next time.

General Motors in Simpsonville, South Carolina - GM put wrong tires on new Crew Cab Pick-ups

I bought a new 2007 Silverado LT Crew Cab. The Truck costs $35500.00 This truck was equiped with Bridgestone All Terrain tires (16") 4ply. I have experienced a vibration since the day I bought the vehicle. The dealership Anderson Cheverolet in Waynesville, NC has tried repeatedly to fix the vibration and been unsuccessful. They now tell me that the vibration is within normal specs. At 27000 miles the dealership said that the tires needed to be changed and they did this at the instruction of the factory rep in Atlanta, I later learned that the lying factory rep renigged on his promise to pay the dealership. Now, 14000 miles later, the tires are ruined again, the truck rides rougher and louder than ever and GM says tough luck you are out of your 36 mo. warranty. I tried to tell them to put higher load range tires on the truck and this would solve the problem when they replaced the tires the first time ans they would not and now they refuse to help at all. Now I am using a Lemon Law attourney and intend to make GM Buy The Truck Back So if you have a Chevy Crew cab make sure you make your dealership put load range D or E on your truck. General Motors in Skokie, Illinois - Stalling on refund of pre-paid warranty.

For many months I have sought a refund on a fully paid warranty on my 2000 Jimmy. I am now in an assisted living senior community and will never drive the car again. Your sales team pointed out that the warranty would be transferable - and I am looking for the prorata amt. of the Contract purchase price of $1899.00. I am now residing in Chicago and the car is not being driven. Since a Dealer cannot "benefit" from this Contract: CW50-131137, I must sell it outright. I have complied w/all info; have heard nothing! General Motors in Doha, Ad Dawhah - Unetical service

I first tried to purchase a new vehicle at the GM dealer in Qatar and was looking at various options (Lumina SS, Tahoe, Isuzu, Epica), but after being ignored several times and given the run around I gave up on that idea. I then saw a Used Tahoe that interested me and that’s where the fun started! I attempted to purchase a Chevrolet Tahoe from the used car dealership on the 28th July; I made arrangements with the salesman to kindly keep the vehicle for me, which he assured me he would do. I was particularly interested in this vehicle as it had very low mileage was in excellent condition and had a DVD system fitted. I immediately went to my bank (HSBC) to do the necessary paperwork; the bank issued a purchase order to the dealership for the vehicle on the 31st July 2008. I tried to contact the dealership but was unable to get hold of anybody. After this I heard nothing more and I lodged a complaint against the bank for not informing me what happened about the deal. The bank investigated and informed me that the vehicle had subsequently been sold by the dealer to someone else, but that the vehicle would be available in 3 months again and that I could get it then. I lodged a complaint to the dealer and I was contacted by the used car manager apologizing for the entire matter. I was informed that the salesman had informed the bank that the vehicle had been sold, however he never bothered to contact me to inform me of the situation. I was told that they could provide another vehicle with a suitable discount and accessories to try and resolve the issue. I confirmed that this would be acceptable even though I was not happy about taking another one with much higher mileage; I was told I would be contacted to do the necessary paperwork etc. This took a week to materialize and only after the bank intervened did somebody try to contact me and then had the audacity to blame me for not calling them! I viewed the vehicle and stated that I was happy with it, the salesman informed me the vehicle would be ready in two days, as usual this never happened, I went to the dealership again and this time I was promised a new car at a substantial discount as the other vehicle now had some technical problem that could not be resolved. I agreed to this, I then went to the bank to redo the application as the bank could no longer process the original application. A few days later the bank advised me that there would be a QR 1278 penalty due to the cancellation and interest on the original LPO issued on the 31st July, I asked the used car manager to cover this which I feel is fair as they originally messed up the deal, the manager rudely told me that it was not possible as he was giving me such a good discount, he rudely said to me that if I didn’t like it I could leave the whole deal and that he would gladly pay the bank charges and that I was being *** about the whole thing. I told him that in that case I would rather cancel the deal as I was not prepared to be handled poorly any longer as I get the distinct impression that he thinks he is doing me a huge favour. I am now required to pay the bank cancellation fees on the deal (QR 1278) In addition I am now renting a vehicle which is costing me more than the repayments for my own vehicle and I’m stuck with it for 3 months as I had to take a longer rental period to make the costs more reasonable. Since this I have sent numerous mails with no response! Due to the total mismanagement of this deal, I have created unnecessary friction between myself, the bank and my employer, and I have been financially penalized by the bank. I have been driving GM products for the last 25 (I have purchased 15 GM products in that time) years and I have never experienced such dismal service! I requested the sales manager and the salesman to get the person acting in your position to contact me, but this was also ignored. On one occasion I went into the dealership and I spoke to the new car sales manager who also tried to resolve the issue but also had no success. I have also lodged complaints on the GM Arabia web page, but that is also ignored!

GM advertised 0% financing for new Chevrolet Corvetts and when you start a purchase process with the dealer, GM does not honor the 0% financing and cuts off the program. I have not bought a GM product since the 1970's and I will "never buy a GM product"...
