I purchased a 2003 CTS froma Gm dealer in July 2005 that only had 8,000 miles and still the waranty. It vibrated when I test drove it and they said the roters needed rotated. Left with the car after that and still rotated so I took it to another GM dealer who rotated teh tires, problem solved. First rainfall the back passenger carpet soaked. Took back to GM dealer and they had it 4 days and said it was the sunroof, so they pretty much gutted the interior looking for a leak caused by the sunroof. They even left it set under their car wash for 4 hours and no leak, but a pile of sedimet and rust from the water,which I then had to have it detailed to clean. The leak was from a plug in the tire wall that had not been plugged on assembly line. Chrome rims corroding and they took them and dipped and cleaned and repolished. Noise from rear end and they haven't figured that out yet. Took to car wash with 9,000 miles and the rear light cover, which is most of the rear end fell off. Had to glue it back on. One GM dealer told me he was sure this was a GM exec car that they drive and put thousands of miles on and gut the dash to make it look new. Car still leaks and vibrates and makes the noise. GM says warranty voided in April of 2005 because car was purchased in 2002. GM ***. For the price of a cadillac I got a piece of ***! Various other warranty issues too numerous to mention. Don't buy GM!!!

General Motors in Libertyville, Illinois - Can't found a payoff that was cashed for $5,273.56 and being harrassed from triad and need my title
I send in a payoff on 04/29/08 and check was cashed on 05/02/08 and i faxed a front and back copy of check 4 times (2) times to Research dept on 04/09/08 and (2) times to Legal dept on 04/16/08 Att: Lornia and request a call back. Never recieved a call. I am being harrassed. I have been getting call everyday from my work# to my cell#even on weekends as of 8am, The representative are so rude, supervisors promise me a call back (Arron Jackson)never recieved a follow up. Now my account is over 30days and this will affect my credit, I am now seeking a lawyer and i need my title and also reported to BBB and will contact CBS news .

General Motors in Green Bay, Wisconsin - Broken Lifter at 53k
I purchased an 03 Aztek with 26k on it. Before I hit 54k a lifter rod snapped and damaged a piston. I called GM with the idea that they might cover this obvious fluke. They had to call the mechanic while I was on the phone. The mechanic stated that he could not determine what the cause was, manufacturer or driver related. GM's IMMEDIATE response was "The mechanic said it was not a factory related problem. HELLO, does the guy have ears that hear in Spanish? The mechanic said no such thing and as the customer I should have gotten the benefit of the doubt! This was a GM certified used vehicle. Some 105 point inspection that is suppose to make you feel good. My inspection did not find a bad wheel bearing nor a leaking head gasket (fortunately both under warranty) but what does that say for the validity of the inspection? It's no wonder GM's world is in the toilet right now. Looking at this list of complaints I can see why they're going down the tubes. A little customer care goes a long way. This was my first GM product and it WILL be my last. Total for my bill, a measly $340.00. Total loss for GM? No repeat business. Right on GM, you saved your multi-billion dollar corporation $340.00. But it cost you so much more. I'd of even settled for a "We'll cover labor, you cover parts." They offered nothing but a bunch of excuses as to why they couldn't stand behind their own product. To make matters worse they and the mechanic both stated this was very rare and should not have occurred. Does that sound factory related to any of you? All cars have problems, it's all about how the maker addresses the problem that concerns me. GM does not care about it's customers, bottom line.
