General Motors in Doha, Ad Dawhah - Unetical service

I first tried to purchase a new vehicle at the GM dealer in Qatar and was looking at various options (Lumina SS, Tahoe, Isuzu, Epica), but after being ignored several times and given the run around I gave up on that idea. I then saw a Used Tahoe that interested me and that’s where the fun started! I attempted to purchase a Chevrolet Tahoe from the used car dealership on the 28th July; I made arrangements with the salesman to kindly keep the vehicle for me, which he assured me he would do. I was particularly interested in this vehicle as it had very low mileage was in excellent condition and had a DVD system fitted. I immediately went to my bank (HSBC) to do the necessary paperwork; the bank issued a purchase order to the dealership for the vehicle on the 31st July 2008. I tried to contact the dealership but was unable to get hold of anybody. After this I heard nothing more and I lodged a complaint against the bank for not informing me what happened about the deal. The bank investigated and informed me that the vehicle had subsequently been sold by the dealer to someone else, but that the vehicle would be available in 3 months again and that I could get it then. I lodged a complaint to the dealer and I was contacted by the used car manager apologizing for the entire matter. I was informed that the salesman had informed the bank that the vehicle had been sold, however he never bothered to contact me to inform me of the situation. I was told that they could provide another vehicle with a suitable discount and accessories to try and resolve the issue. I confirmed that this would be acceptable even though I was not happy about taking another one with much higher mileage; I was told I would be contacted to do the necessary paperwork etc. This took a week to materialize and only after the bank intervened did somebody try to contact me and then had the audacity to blame me for not calling them! I viewed the vehicle and stated that I was happy with it, the salesman informed me the vehicle would be ready in two days, as usual this never happened, I went to the dealership again and this time I was promised a new car at a substantial discount as the other vehicle now had some technical problem that could not be resolved. I agreed to this, I then went to the bank to redo the application as the bank could no longer process the original application. A few days later the bank advised me that there would be a QR 1278 penalty due to the cancellation and interest on the original LPO issued on the 31st July, I asked the used car manager to cover this which I feel is fair as they originally messed up the deal, the manager rudely told me that it was not possible as he was giving me such a good discount, he rudely said to me that if I didn’t like it I could leave the whole deal and that he would gladly pay the bank charges and that I was being *** about the whole thing. I told him that in that case I would rather cancel the deal as I was not prepared to be handled poorly any longer as I get the distinct impression that he thinks he is doing me a huge favour. I am now required to pay the bank cancellation fees on the deal (QR 1278) In addition I am now renting a vehicle which is costing me more than the repayments for my own vehicle and I’m stuck with it for 3 months as I had to take a longer rental period to make the costs more reasonable. Since this I have sent numerous mails with no response! Due to the total mismanagement of this deal, I have created unnecessary friction between myself, the bank and my employer, and I have been financially penalized by the bank. I have been driving GM products for the last 25 (I have purchased 15 GM products in that time) years and I have never experienced such dismal service! I requested the sales manager and the salesman to get the person acting in your position to contact me, but this was also ignored. On one occasion I went into the dealership and I spoke to the new car sales manager who also tried to resolve the issue but also had no success. I have also lodged complaints on the GM Arabia web page, but that is also ignored!

General Motors in Silver Spring, Maryland - Fraudulent advertising

GM advertised 0% financing for new Chevrolet Corvetts and when you start a purchase process with the dealer, GM does not honor the 0% financing and cuts off the program. I have not bought a GM product since the 1970's and I will "never buy a GM product" again. I have been buying Ford products for 17 years at zero percent financing and Ford has always honored their deals. GM says they are not going Bankrupt but they are already ethically bankrupt. And, GM wants to know why customers are not buying their cars, this is the reason why!!!

local GM dealer using false vehicle info to make sales. Example - listing a silverado p/u as a LT instead of a WT.

Not expecting a dealer to be crooked, I took the info as true. GM must be proud of how they dealers work to make sales.

General Motors in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Chevrolet silverado

To Whom This May Concern: I had a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado. I bought it at 43000 miles at the Chevy dealer in Desoto, TX. They claims at the time of paper work, the vehicle is checkout find and in perfect condition. I got the vehicle home, at the next morning there is a loud vibration noise from the engine. I immediately bring it to the Chevy dealer (Plano, TX) to get it checkout since it is out of Guaranteed. I paid a $100 for the diagnostic fee—they claims that this is a flaw in it design, but the vehicle check out fine. I drove the vehicle for couple of thousands miles then the engine started to leak oil and smell antifreeze. I replace all the hoses new, but the antifreeze smell still there. Shortly later the Air conditioning leak. I got it fix at Chevy dealer, and then the Air Conditioning goes bad again, I got it fix again. Then later, the antifreezer smell turns out to be the heater core. It cost me a $1000 to get it fix (Raymond Chevrolet (Marieta, GA)). At the mean time, they also mess up my vehicle, the windshield noise (leak). Of course, they claim this windshield noise is normal without checking it out or fix it. The next problem is the antifreeze is go empty all the time and my check engine light again comes on. I spend money again at Reliable Chevrolet (Richardson, TX) for diagnostic, they said Coolant and oil mix together and would cost around $1000 to fix it. Again, I paid to get it fix. The engine oil is getting worse. At the dealer where I got my truck repair, Those service engineer got bad attitude toward customer. This is at Reliable Chevrolet, and is worst at Steve Raymond Chevrolet in Marieta, GA. Bought a GM vehicle is my biggest mistake. --- I then file a consumer report, GM again call offer me a $500 that can redeem at the dealer for a new car (at Chevy). I turn down the offer, saying that I will not buy another junk from Chevy again. This is my story. I will tell this story again. Email me if you want to get in touch with me at johnltran@yahoo.com

I Bought a 2006 Chev Silverado with 12,OOO Klm

along with an extended warranty covering bumper to bumper. I noticed that I had a transmission oil leak at 27,000 Klm. So I brought it to my GM dealer in Kapuskasing Ont. (Eastview)for a check up, and at the same time ask them to change the fuel filter.

The next day I was told that all 3 transmission lines were leaking and needed to be changed and that the warranty would not cover it. It would cost a total of $631.00. Later on I find out that this was not new to GM. It seem that many clients had the same problem. The transmission lines were of poor quality and since this is not a safety issue it was not important to warn the client before the original warranty ran out. This is how GM treat it clients. On top of this I received a Bill of $64.00 for the fuel filter change, which I d'int mind. Two days later I received a phone call saying that they made a mistake on the bill and that the fuel filter was actually $101.00 plus labor for a total of $129.00 + tax.

Four month ago I had Bought a 2010 Buick enclave from the same dealer. I was treated like a King. I had notice a defect on one of the chrome rim wheel. I was assured by the sale man that it would be replaced. So far I have not received anything. My complaint to the General Manager have fallen on deaf ears. It seem that I am no longer an important client and since I am 62 years old they think I wont be buying any more vehicles

Rest assure that GM has lost a client and I will never buy a GM vehicle again.

if the transmission is an oe transmission for your vehicle, it is a new warranty for 100,000 mi. or i thought it was 3 years but may be 5. but it has to be the same part number that was original to your vehicle.

General Motors in Green Springs, Ohio - 2003 lemon cadillac CTS

I purchased a 2003 CTS froma Gm dealer in July 2005 that only had 8,000 miles and still the waranty. It vibrated when I test drove it and they said the roters needed rotated. Left with the car after that and still rotated so I took it to another GM dealer who rotated teh tires, problem solved. First rainfall the back passenger carpet soaked. Took back to GM dealer and they had it 4 days and said it was the sunroof, so they pretty much gutted the interior looking for a leak caused by the sunroof. They even left it set under their car wash for 4 hours and no leak, but a pile of sedimet and rust from the water, which I then had to have it detailed to clean. The leak was from a plug in the tire wall that had not been plugged on assembly line. Chrome rims corroding and they took them and dipped and cleaned and repolished. Noise from rear end and they haven't figured that out yet. Took to car wash with 9,000 miles and the rear light cover, which is most of the rear end fell off. Had to glue it back on. One GM dealer told me he was sure this was a GM exec car that they drive and put thousands of miles on and gut the dash to make it look new. Car still leaks and vibrates and makes the noise. GM says warranty voided in April of 2005 because car was purchased in 2002. GM ***. For the price of a cadillac I got a piece of ***! Various other warranty issues too numerous to mention. Don't buy GM!!!

General Motors in Albuquerque, New Mexico - GM can't fix my Solstice Air conditioning

IN 5 attempts GM cannot fix the air conditioning in my 2006 Pontiac Solstice. They have no idea what is wrong! They offered to replace the car with a new one but the dealer (Sunshine Pontiac, Albuquerque NM) said I didn't have a case (gave them the number) then said they didn't want to get stuck with a broken car! GM said go to another dealer (Performance Pontiac of Santa Fe, NM) and speak with Mr. Bacum. I called the dealer but Mr Bacum hadn't worked there for over 3 weeks and they didn't know anything about my issue. I turned it over to the State Attorney. GM is now researching. Yea, right. They continue to try to screw me because they don't really care about customers, only money!

Hi: I m David I have a 1999 Chevy Silverado Ext Cab 3 Door pickup truck which I took to my local GM dealer for A/C issues, they kept my truck for right at 3 weeks and when the called for me to come pick it up I was lead to believe that the truck's A/C was repaired and ready for this Texas heat, however when I paid my bill I noticed a somewhat rather small bill, I didn't give it much thought until I got in my truck and turned on the A/C it was still blowing hot ait just as it was when I brought it in, so I went back in to speak with the little lady who checked in my truck and was told I needed to speak with the shop manager who was at the time unavailable, so they sent up this poor guy who had no idea what was going on, when everything was said and done the dealer's explanation for my truck was to take it to a specialty shop, so I spent all this time wasted at the dealer and my truck is still not fixed, I wrote a letter of complaint to the dealers owner and management and I have yet to hear from the, this was 5 months ago, now as for what's causing the issue with my A/C it's the Temperature Actuator, it's not getting a signal form the Body Control Module, the other two Actuators work just fine, those two control the defrost, air flow direction and heat of course. if anyone out there knows how to trouble shoot the wiring from the Body Control Module to the Temperature Actuator please break it down so a dummy like me can do the job, I will try my luck on line to see if I can get this truck's A/C working again, be it know that everything I mean everything is brand new on the A/C, I did this because I needed to pull the dash and fix a few of those squeaking dash brackets that my boys broke a some time back, I can't stand to hear that squeaking noise, so while I had the dash all tore out I just replaced the carpet and everything dealing with the A/C and heater, from the inside to the outside everything is brand new with genuine GM parts, nothing is after market.

if you can help let me know and if you can include a video of what needs to be done it will be appreciated .

Thank You

David Valley Sr.
