General Motors in Green Bay, Wisconsin - Broken Lifter at 53k

I purchased an 03 Aztek with 26k on it. Before I hit 54k a lifter rod snapped and damaged a piston. I called GM with the idea that they might cover this obvious fluke. They had to call the mechanic while I was on the phone. The mechanic stated that he could not determine what the cause was, manufacturer or driver related. GM's IMMEDIATE response was "The mechanic said it was not a factory related problem. HELLO, does the guy have ears that hear in Spanish? The mechanic said no such thing and as the customer I should have gotten the benefit of the doubt! This was a GM certified used vehicle. Some 105 point inspection that is suppose to make you feel good. My inspection did not find a bad wheel bearing nor a leaking head gasket (fortunately both under warranty) but what does that say for the validity of the inspection? It's no wonder GM's world is in the toilet right now. Looking at this list of complaints I can see why they're going down the tubes. A little customer care goes a long way. This was my first GM product and it WILL be my last. Total for my bill, a measly $340.00. Total loss for GM? No repeat business. Right on GM, you saved your multi-billion dollar corporation $340.00. But it cost you so much more. I'd of even settled for a "We'll cover labor, you cover parts." They offered nothing but a bunch of excuses as to why they couldn't stand behind their own product. To make matters worse they and the mechanic both stated this was very rare and should not have occurred. Does that sound factory related to any of you? All cars have problems, it's all about how the maker addresses the problem that concerns me. GM does not care about it's customers, bottom line.

I have Never dealt with such a group of uneducated individuals. Were the heck did they find these people?

Both my husband and I were laid off due to the falling economy. Were both college graduates (something these people have never heard of)and still find it hard to find work. I needed help and instead of helping me, they criticized me about not knowing how to handle my life and even asked how I could sleep at night. I was gob smacked by their unprofessional ism\'s.

Its obvious these people are evil, mean and down right \"*** IDIOTS". They all sound like they barely have a high school diploma or G.E.D.(Good Enough Diploma). Yup!!

These are the people who are in charge of our accounts. Well, if all else fails, I guess I could say I graduated 6 six grade while holding 4 fingers up and maybe they will give me a job.

General Motors in Pontiac, Michigan - Bad Design

My 2004 Grand Prix requires me to spend $150.00 every 25,000 miles to remove the steering shaft and have it lubed. If you dont it sounds like the front end of the car is falling off. (Loud clunking noise every time you trun the wheel). The Service Manager at my local dealer says they have the same issue with GM trucks. You cant tell me that the leader (not for long) in automotive sales doesnt know this is a bad design. You would think GM would stand behind their product. So much for that, GM will not admit any fault and will not rectify the problem.

My Chevy Cobalt was bought brand new in 2009, and i have had problem after problem with my car. From the key getting stuck in the ignition, and having to replace the ignition.

I have had many, many recalls on my car. My car has been nothing but a problem and a burden to me and my family. My car has been to the dealership atleast 5 times in the last month and a half.

I am very unhappy with my purchase!! :(

I bought a 2005 Chevy Malibu and the headlights are melting due to a manufatures defect which GM doesn't want to help. All 2005 Chevy Malibu lights are melting. I talked to GM reps. And one said I was liar and another said to take it to get a diagnostic, and they...

We Have a 2008 corvette Z06, 12,000 miles tire broke off with lug nuts intact while merging onto extremely crowded freeway, which caused us to hit cement embankment, doing major front side damage to car. The back rear wheel area was not hit and no damage just broken wheel.

All evidence and reports indicate this was the cause of the accident, but GM does not agree. They have a history with wheel issues on cadillacs, so I would think they would want to take this vehicle and test the 2 other wheels to make sure that this is not a defect. Especially since this car is supposed to be a high performance car and wheels are breaking off while merging onto freeway, during rush hour at low speed.

I wonder how many other accidents have happened due to this problem but are never identified because the car gets hit again making it impossible to see what happened with the wheels! I hope they re-investigate my complaint because this is very dangerous not only to the GM driver, but it could be dangerous to every driver and their passengers if this continues to happen.

I agree GM has poor customer service from the dealership to the GM complaint dept..with admitted missdiagnous from the dealership to washing there hands from a known defect to there cylinder heads from the factory, spending over $50k for a Tahoe was a bad mistake. should have bought a Honda.

Better out of warranty cust. service.

General Motors in New Orleans, Louisiana - Warranty on 2004 GMC Yukon

I have a complaint about my 2004 yukon. The gauges went out on my dash, not all but some. I received a letter from GMC informing me of the problem and that they would pay to fix the problem if you had less than 70000 miles. When my problem ocurred I had 71000 miles. I called and they told me they would not fix my problem at their expense. I was informed that it was not a recall, so they were not responsible. If there is a problem, why did they not recall this vehicle. They probably by law have to post this but they find a way to get around it without having to be responsible.
