My 2022 GMC Sierra Denali went into a known (to the mechanics) shut down provoked by a remote start. The dealer was well aware of what had happened and acknowledged this recall was for internal knowledge only.
They are repairing/reprogramming software on a case by case basis. I was out for 2 days and was given a loaner (but not before being told there was no service loaner program) and now I'm chasing to get my tow bill reimbursed.
If I were out of town and in an unfamiliar area I would have been more upset. So beware all you GM drivers - there are internal recalls NOT for your knowledge as they cannot afford to pay their technicians to take a look for "hours" for an issue that may or may not be on your specific vehicle.

I hope whoever thought it was a great idea to build and ship a car from half way around the world has been let go. I reserved a trax back on 10/29/23 and I am being told by the dealership that it is stuck in a port somewhere and they cant tell me when I might be receiving it.
If I figure right, that car has to be loaded and unloaded from a truck, train or boat at least 11 times before it even hits the dealership. It doesn't seem like that can be cost effective at all.
Also, I have been a GM credit card holder for many years. I also work for an employer who receives a dealer discount on new vehicles. I'm told that I can't use my GM card points if I use the dealer discount.
Doesn't quite seem fair that I am in programs that can't be used consecutively when GM is offering discounts to service people, first responders, educators and the like. I'm not real happy with GM right now.

To whom this may concern Im A Frequent Customer at Bill Freeland Chevrolet I Purchased A 2016 Malibu (LT) jan2017 it has had its share of recalls &problems but when I take it in for a service and spend the money for a service that wasnt preformed correctly having to take it back with in the same week to have it serviced again when I also had a diagnostics before the work was preformed (Nov 2023)taking it in (January 2024)for a routine oil change being diagnosed that it needs a oil pump repair @1,000 dollars blew me away when the previous job cost me 2339.00 that wasnt properly performed and you only can accommodate me with a joke and Uber ride to & from work and NO Loaner with no other transportation available but spending money that I dont have for a rental car what do the Customer do? With Chevy being generational with in my family maybe I need to part ways with the loyalty with the Chevy brand All Im asking that the vehicle be fixed and honor that the work wasnt right also better accommodation for the customer because this is a big inconvenience for me and my livelihood I dont need a rush job I just want to continue to be a Chevy Owner and Satisfied with good customer Service with out having to take this method of action towards a company that I have always had high expectations and loyalty for the GENERAL Motors Company

The car would not start after we stopped to get fuel
I disconnected the battery and completed the trip. The car never gave another problem
Once home we took it to Rick Hendrix Chevrolet In Birmingham
We were called a few days later and told it needed a $21000 transmission repair and since there was not a record of replacing the 7500 filter it would not be covered under warranty
The car had 15000 miles of which 10000 are road miles. We purchased the car at 391 miles and had the oil changed at according to requirements set forth by the automobile itself
The dealer still has the car but within the last week I received a recall for transmission issue
I cannot pay $100,000K for an automobile that has issue at 15000 miles

My daughter bought a car and before she could make first payment had problems with radio and gps. Took it to dealer Joseph Chevrolet in Ohio.
They worked on it said its fixed. Have had the same problems 4 more times . Made a appointment to take it back. Was told didn't have a loader vehicle for her to use.
The contract said it there was a problem she would get a loader vehicle. She has missed two days of work over this . New car and nothing but problems with it. The manager is supposed to call .
Has been 24 hours no call . What the *** is she supposed to do.
Have a daughter inlaw having same problems. She got her car the next day .

Bad service don’t stand behind there products
My engine light went on and went to auto zone to check what the problem was, they said it was a power tran issue, so I went to the dealership and they diagnosed it and said it wasnt cover under power and Tran and he wanted $800 for labour and $400 for the part,
I paid for the diagnose and call GM and they said they get back within 48 hours. They never got back to me so I took it to another place when I called GM back they offered me 20,000 points which is amount of $200 and then they took it away from me, if they wouldve called within 48 hours I probably wouldve let them fix it but because I had a third-party they took the 200 points away for me very bad service three GM cars and three problems already
