I like how they say they install and inspect every transmission before it ships. This is a lie.

Explain to us how a transmission is stuck in first gear upon installation right out of the box? Is it possible this somehow got overlooked during your road test and inspection?

I bought a 700r4 automatic transmission and had several problems with it. Had to go to a local transmission Shop for warranty work and had to pay out of my pocket to get my truck back. Monster transmission said they would give me my money back. They lied, if you are thinking about buying a transmission do not buy one from monster transmission.

Update by user May 20, 2016

Buy from a local reputable company and save yourself time and money. I would not wish my experience with Monster on anyone and still have to replace the tranny, again.

Original review posted by user May 19, 2016

700R4 installed. Extremely noisy and slammed into gears. Returned ($400) and they claimed nothing was wrong. Reinstalled and same situation. My mechanic actually spoke to the tech at Monster explaining to him that "this is not right". After 63 emails, threatened...

The client purchased a transmission from Monster Transmission on 2/2/15. The client contacted Monster and said that there was a noise coming from the torque converter and Monster sent him another torque converter at no cost to him in order to resolve the issue(s).

The client admitted to installing a torque converter into the transmission that was not supplied by Monster Transmission. The client was informed that this would normally void the warranty but that we would help him regardless. The client then emailed stating that the noise was not coming from the torque converter but from his engine. The client then called and stated that the noise was, in fact, coming from the transmission.

The client was advised, per the terms of the warranty, that the transmission could be shipped back to Monster Transmission. The client agreed, covered the discounted shipping cost that Monster offered. The unit arrived at Monster Transmission, was installed in a test vehicle with the torque converter and Monster Transmission was unable to recreate the noise that the client stated he experienced. Despite this fact, Monster Transmission disassembled the transmission and inspected it.

However, we were unable to find an issue with the transmission. The unit was then rebuilt and retested in a vehicle. Again, the transmission tested perfectly. The unit was then reshipped to the client on 3/17/15.

We have taken numerous measures to assist the client. We are very sorry that the client has continued to experience issues and we are dedicated to assisting him in resolving these issues. We invite the client, or any other reader to contact us at 800-708-0087 and we will be more than happy to continue to build more than transmission, but relationships as well!

When I first spoke to Beau and ordered my 700r4 I told him I was running an Edelbrock Proflo XT fuel injection and needed all parts to hook up the TV cable. I was sold a $39.95 bracket which when arrived fits a carburetor and even when I called back and spoke to Jake...

I agree. Daniel is the only one working there who seems to have a clue.

Nice guy as well. I imagine his time with the company will be short.
