General Motors - Warranty Review from Ottawa, Ontario

I have a 2010 gmc acadia with power steering issues. The pump works intermittingly. There is a U.S. class action because of this problem. GM has issued a special warranty to replace the pump. I took the vehicle to get the pump replaced but dealer said the steering rack was leaking and needed replacement for $1,700. Wouldn't fix the pump under warranty unless I paid for a new rack. I didn't get it done and added some fluid to the reservoir. One month later the reservoir is still full and steering problems pesist hence this is not a leaking rack issue. Went back to GM dealer and told them about this and was told that GM would not replace pump unless I paid for rack even though it isn't leaking. I offered to sign waiver for future pump failure. GM said no. This is a design defect or flaw and GM doesn't care. No more gm cars for me.

General Motors - 2011 chevy 2500 def issue

bought the truck new beautiful have had many diesels in the past and never any problems like this one new i'snt always best for the first 18 months the truck was great but then with just over 35000 miles under 3 years and still under warranty the poor quality def light came on took to dealer and was told it was a owner issue ya ok 4 or 500 bucks later it was fixed for a day it was good took back fixed again 600 miles same problem another charge mind u still under warranty why am i being charged? fixed again more money pissed away motor had detuned and all dash lights were on im so impressed 1000 miles later same problem if you cant fix your own problems why do u screw the customer and charge them the truck was traded in and is gone the next owner had the same issues and after taking the truck to many gm dealers could not be fixed gm wants to know nothing how special of them am now driving a dodge cummins i guess its all about money and not customer loyalty

General Motors - Shifter Problem 2011 GMC Acadia

The last 2 or 3 times I’ve had my Acadia in to Jim Winter Buick (recalls, oil changes, and replacement of fog lights), I have asked them to have a mechanic take a look at the shifter mechanism, which is not smooth, and hangs up on the plastic, and does not show the correct gear selection. However, no one has looked at it either time. I don’t even think they bothered to record it on my service paperwork. I’m not sure why the service persons omitted it from my copy. I feel that at the very least, they could have spared a few minutes for a mechanic to look at this potential serious issue. My car was there at least twice, maybe 3 times. They also should have explained to me what options I have to appeal to General Motors, or how to contact them to possibly cover this problem under warranty.

General Motors - 2014 chevy siverado engine blew up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

had 9000 miles on it dealer fixed it but smokes like a chimney. front seat swivels I don't think that right. ac shuts off when it feels like it. gm would not give me any trade assistance or extended warranty I bought a new 2015 Tahoe because dealer was so good to me but gm told me f*** off no help from gm on new purchase at all a bunch of douchebags to deal with. they lied to me at gm told me they would give me some type of help.DO NOT BUY 2014 SILVERADO THEY ARE JUNK GARBAGE ENGINE COULD BLOW UP LIKE MINE DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

General Motors - 2010 gmc terrain first motor replaced now need a second motor

My 2010 gmc terrain has been in the repair shop so many times with the same problems,Timing chain's ,fuel pumps ,computer,abs, oil leaks,all wheel drive and more.The first motor needed to be replaced under 160000km.The brand new motor only lasted for 13000km the main rear oil seal has let go .The Gm dealer in Barrie Ontario Canada told me that the new motor would have a year warranty and it has only been 5 months now they are refusing to repair the motor under warranty.Gm customer support (1-800-263-3777) is all so refusing to help.Can someone help Please. General Motors - Gmc terrain 2.4 oil consupsion,

we bought a new 2011 terrain slt 2.4 awd we are having problems with high oil consumpsion 2.5 lts in 5000 km oil change intervals,we use mobil 1 full syntetic this motor has been noisy since new ,had cam follower done at 50 km didn't help dealer just brush;s us off,one advisor gave us a lesson on how to read the dipstick I don't hae to tell who the dipstick was! gm is just tryibg to run us out of warranty,now the check engine light is on dealer say;s bad cat no warranty 8 day's after the trans front seal was replaced this car is driven by my mature wlfe,and is all hwy mileswe relly maintain our vehicals this will be the last gm we will ever buy,they should let them have let them close when they were bankrupt
