General Motors in Edmonton, Alberta - What a joke

I have reviewed many many postings on the website Edmunds and I have a similar problem to them... my AC system no longer works and I'm being told that the evaporator coil will need to be replaced. I currently sit around 110,000kms. It seems to me that from the number of issues and complaints there should have been a recall, but there's nothing. This is not a mechanical system that is affected by number of kilometers driven and this is clearly a defective coil. http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/WebX?14@@.f1e04a5/208#MSG208 GM won't even have the conversation with me about coverage. They want me to pay for the repair at a GM dealer and they will then review the case. AKA: We are going to get boatloads of money from you and then leave you high and dry. Would I buy GM/Buick again? *** NO.

Bye bye General Motors!

I recently got rid of my 2010 Sierra because it was literally a pile of junk. I'm in the process of getting rid of my wife's 2009 Acadia because it is also a pile of junk. Thanks to GM's awesome products, I will NEVER buy another!!!!! The last 5 GM vehicles my wife and I haves owned have had a total of over $5500 in repairs. Some warranty, some out of pocket. Also, I was a very loyal GM customer owing nothing but GM products but I promise I will never buy another. Thanks for screwing the middle class, hard working people by selling junk!!!!!

pcmforless.com can program the PCM to ignore the passkey signals from the BCM module to turn off the fuel. This in effect, bypasses the security system.

General Motors in Stanton, California - Engineered failure

For the third time, a GM product I have had installed/replaced at a dealer has failed Les than one year after warranty has expired. First is was my injctors. They (4 out of 8) failed 2000 miles past warranty. Had to pay out of pocket. Then my center cluster label went out. Had out replaced. replacement went put 1 month after warranty expired. Now, most recently I replaced my AC unit. Out failed 11 months out of warranty. This is engineered failure at its finest. Designed to a fail after a pre determined periodao time. By the way, I own a 2003 Chevy Silverado. And they wonder why they need to be nailed out. *** ***

Remember the old song about how you should "look for the union label?" Yes, you should look to see if anything is made by a unionized company---and then buy a non-union brand. At least you will have a better chance of getting something well-made, rather than slipshod at best.

General Motors in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland And Labrador - Poor quailty product

I own a 2008 Cobalt with 51,000 kms, warranty expired, the lower control arm bushing failed, terrible product with a failure of this part with so little kilometres. I have owned the vehicle for 1 year, previously I had problems with the cruise control repaired under warranty. These vehicles is near impossible to sell once purchased as they do not maintain value, i have tried but to avail. One cannot never say never however I will despereately try to purchase a product that was not built by GM, I would wish other indivduals looking to purchase to look elsewhere.

General Motors in Dauphin, Manitoba - GM Transmission Lines

I have a 2007 Chevy 3500 Duramax with the Allison transmission. The transmissions lines have lots of problem's My truck has 123,836 km's on it and the lines have been replaced 3 times. When the weather turn's cold they start to leak, have to get them changed. Even the dealership say's they have lots of problem's with them. When I bought the truck, I bought extended warranty, told me 160,000km's bumper to bumper. $3500 for this,so I figured okay lots of money but if something to go wrong I am covered, WRONG. In February my lines started to leak, called them up told them what is going on. They said to bring it in, but the lines were not covered under warranty. I was confused, told him the truck has 160,000 powertrain warranty, wasn't covered. I said the extended warranty, nope not covered. WTF,think you are covered and your not, BS. If I would of took it to then it would of cost me over $850.00 to fix it. I took it to another mechanic, cost me almost $200 to fix it.GM should of foot the bill for this, as they know they have a problem with the lines and their should be a recall. My next truck is looking like a Dodge. So GM kiss my A$$,our family has been with you for 70 years and no more

Hey great idea, buy a Dodge, but just be prepared to replace the whole transmission, look'em up, the have abysmal reviews for transmissions, across their whole product line.

General Motors in Sacramento, California - Asking GM to cover repairs for my 2003 Duramax

After all injectors were replaced under warranty with my truck having only 45k miles; turns out now with 80k miles the injectors are failing again. My local dealer has said GM will not cover these repairs. I find it absolutely unacceptable that after an incremental 40k miles that I should spend $5000 dollars to have the dealer replace them. I have a letter that references over 33 different service tickets on my truck. I am asking those who read this who I should send my letter to at GM where it it won't find the bottom of a trash can...... HELP !!

Cutomer service is a thing of the past (with a lot of dealerships). The only thing you can do is to never buy GM products again. Went from a Silverado to a Dodge Ram, LOVE IT! Just couldn't jump straight into a Ford. Almost, but changed my mind at last minute (baby steps). My new HEMI is realy helping me get over my long term relationship with gm, and it gets alot better fuel mileage then any chevy I have ever owned.

I am GM FREE, they will never see a nother penny from me.

PS. If you Own A 2003 Duramax, YOU WILL HAVE TO REPLACE THE INJECTORS, just a matter of time.

Oh and by the way if tou do continue to buy GM, AVOID RANDY MARION CHEVROLET in Mooresville, NC.

General Motors in Atlanta, Georgia - 2001 Suburban 2.5 yr old a/c compressor shreds

Dealer installed new a/c compressor May, 2008. Oct. 2010 Heard metal to metal noise and engine died. A/C compressor frozen up. Local dealer honored the lifetime warranty, still cost me $290.00 for new belt, filter, Mgr then stated he could not get the lines clear of metal fragments from old compressor. Metal had gotten into the condensor and accumulator. These parts would not be covered under warranty although the faulty compressor had cause damage. Wanted another $600.00 to fix. Did not address if this would also affect the rear air. Guess that would be another repair job and more money. GM refused to do anything about this. They were cooperating until they found out my mileage was 210,000+. Although my 2001 Suburban is in excellent condition. Out $290.00 and no a/c and I live in Central Florida.
