General Motors in Chesaning, Michigan - Completely unsatisfied with GM's handling of my vehicles issue

Driving down to FL in Feb my 2018 Terrain had engine light momentarily come on, lost cruise, power locks windows and windows. Dealership in FL said, found nothing all is good. Driving home in March had a complete system failure (their computers words)!! Lost my ability to steer, break, had nothing! Was merging onto expressway at the time, was almost rearended by a semi. They replaced a part, said "we think we fixed the problem". I want a new vehicle as I have completely lost faith in the Terrain, this is my 4th. I am just asking for a new vehicle to finish out the 2 years left on my lease. I am not going to be the first fatality before they admit there is a problem.

General Motors in Warren, Michigan - 2007 Tahoe LTZ = POS

1.0
Details
I purchased a used 2007 Tahoe LTZ that had so many problems in 8 months it was laughable. What a POS vehicle. The 5.3 vortec engine with the AFM has to be one of the worst engine designs ever conceived. It was essentially made to self destruct over saving you any kind of money on fuel. Turning off 4 cylinders and designing a valve cover that allows oil to pool up and foul plugs while building up oil deposits around the cylinder rings? Nice job guys. I ate 10K on this piece of garbage. I will never even consider another GM product in my life. You guys don't stand behind your products, poor designs, and honestly, as a taxpayer we should have let you fail in 2008 if this was the *** you were making at the time.

First off this is my 7th Chevy Vehicle- I have had the motor mounts replaced twice in this truck under warranty, Has been in the shop for the auto mirrors not working, has been in for several recalls. I brought it in about 6 months ago when I lost power steering on the highway and was told nothing could be found wrong. Now of course it has 74k miles on it and the XM antenna leaking water all on the electronics and extended warranty I paid 3k for wont cover it. (what happens when mold starts?) I have tried to use the extended warranty also on the broken visor inside my truck and they wont do that either. This will be the last GM product I ever buy. Funny how they tell me they wont fix it unless there is sever electrical issues, you think they would want to fix it before that happens.

I understand your frustration, and your situation definitely sounds frustrating and unfortunate, but having water leaks in a 9 year old used car really isn't something that the manufacturer should be expected to get involved with. Unless you can somehow show that the water leaks or mold growth are due to some kind of failure or oversight in the original design of the vehicle, then you're just unlucky, as much as that sucks to hear.

A friend of mine bought a 2008 Audi A4 used, and ended up having to replace the engine due to water damage of some electronics that fried some modules, and destroyed the engine. That wasn't Audi's fault however, and it was handled through a warranty that they purchased when they bought the car from the used car dealer.

I recommend you do some legwork, find out what the cause of this really is, and try to determine if it could actually be something lawsuit-eligible, otherwise, you just have an unfortunate situation, that frankly would be handled in the same way regardless of if the car was a BMW, Kia, Cadillac, or any other car out there.

General Motors in Grand Blanc, Michigan - POOR DEALER RELATIONS -DUTEAU CHEVROLET LINCOLN NE 68512

Went to this dealer to look at 12016 Chevrolet Impala I saw on line and was early morning and no sales people around as others looking for help also> i went inside and had to ask and wait for help.Party named Jeff showed up and i told about this Impala and he said he would go get the car and bring it around and he did.WOW nice looking car but inside full of trash ,wrappers, gravel on floors.SAID what happened. He said sales people drive these cars they want and leave trash in them.I wonder why a sales person would show a car that is being driven home as had garage door opener it also.-I had a real nice and clean 2002 Lexus 300 with all service records and $2300.00 of recent work. But was told it is worthless and only worth $2500.00 ,Car had six new tires and rims also with it and a bra.i asked the sales person for a build report and Carfax on the car and full tank of gas also. I was then rushed into the finance mans office and papers thrown at me left and right to sign fast as was being given the bums rush to get rid of me.But I never did get any paper work and (10 gallons only) gas or and help to set up the car. I asked for extra coverage and figures thrown at me on a scrap of paper say $1395.00 extra, wow. But I signed and left. Next day no help on plates installed for me and short key info and so long. Car had only one key and told one was ordered ,know sale person had it for his wife to drive --NEVER been treated this bad by a large GM dealer as i was here at Duteau Chev. in Lincoln Ne.I wanted and asked for GM warranty but not offered or told about.THIS dealer sure needs to be talked to and see why a 75 year old man is and was treated so rude and bad by the company Duteau Chev.

We bought my 2014 camero and a year later it had a problem with the Air conditioning light coming on when you turned on the fan motor. If you turn off the air conditioning and wait a few hours and go back out and start the car the air comes on. You have to turn it off....

Your comment about paying alot of money for a bumper to bumper warranty is confusing. If the car was purchased new then you have an automatic, free warranty for 3 years, 36k miles.

In any event, do a web search for camero, a/c problems, etc.

and see what results come in. Sounds like an electrical or bad sensor or even a computer-related problem, but who knows?

General Motors in Grand Blanc, Michigan - Fuel leak and broken shift indicator 2009 Cobalt

1.0
Details
Recently purchased a used 2009 Cobalt with 82,xxx miles. I received a letter (9/16/16) from GM stating that my vehicle was under recall for a possible broken shift indicator. Which it is indeed broken and was like that when I made the purchase. I called GM about the broken indicator shortly after I received the letter and to my surprise they told me it was not under recall even though I had the letter in hand WTF! I was not happy but blew it off I can live with a broken indicator. About a 6 weeks I started smelling gas from inside and outside the vehicle and read online about faulty fuel pumps that would crack and cause a leak and were under recall. Well once again I call GM and they once again tell me my car is not subject to recall. I argued to no avail. I have since changed out the fuel pump (on my own to save $) but the part alone was $264. It appears to my GM has a very dangerous situation on its hands concerning the fuel pump but is not taking full ownership of the issue. I have emailed GM and am awaiting a response.
