2015 Gmc Sierra Pickup Truck Review

Details
Complained about vibration numerous of times and they just push you off like, we got your money we don't care about you. I brought it back 2 days after I got it and they told me it was normal to vibrate. Steering also acts up because hard to turn. I would love to get rid of it and have my old truck back.

General Motors in Kingston, Ontario - 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche nightmare

Purchased this truck from dealer used as a optimum used gm certified truck 150 point inspection. Now 11 months later, transmission failed 3,300 dollars then oil pressure sending units fails 600.00, then universal joint, lower ball joints, control arms and bushings ,cracked dash, speakers quit, brakes replaced, both front hub assemblies and actually had three four wheel alignments, truck consumed oil from the beginning. I have spent 8,600 in repairs in three years with only 32,000 kms of use. I honestly stopped driving it because you could not trust this truck. Should have purchased a Toyota . This truck put me in some dangerous situations during cold weather buy unexpected engine power shutdowns. Always serviced and repaired at dealer.

General Motors - 2011 Chevrolet Cruze Review from Lindsay, Ontario
I had my cruze taken in for an issue with air coming out of the vents. My boyfriend said it was the cabin air filter. I took it jn to get checked anyways as i had some free time. They start working on the vehicle prior to conesnt and "replaced" it. They charged $180...

Actually, the Cruze is a joke of a car, not just GM. Cabin filters are somewhat hard to find unless you go to an auto parts store but yes, you can change them yourself easily-enough.

If they do clog up then the outside air coming thru the vents is not filtered, but that's no real problem.

Everything still works except outside air is no longer filtered. Appears you were scammed by whomever did the work.

Resolved: General Motors in Oshawa, Ontario - Steering flat spotting, sticky

Update by user Aug 01, 2016

dealership said steering problem was covered by warranty and they replaced entire steering gear and re-aligned front wheels.

Original review posted by user Jan 28, 2016

I have a 2012 Equinox 4 cyl. It has electric steering, 82000 km While driving at highway speed in a straight line a noticeable sticky spot occurs where it takes extra effort to move the steering wheel to make a correction. The extra effort required to correct the steering at highway speed is very annoying and tends to decay faith in the steering capabilities of the vehicle. Low speed driving requires more correction so the sticking is not as noticeable. What truth is there in the suggestion that computer feedback controls the steering response as well as steering wheel feel feedback to the operator ?

The dealership said there was an issue with the steering , they checked and replaced the complete electric steering unit.

there is a special coverage on the steering for the condition you are describing..contact your local dealer , if that does not work contact GM at the number in your owners manual.

General Motors in London, Ontario - GM Complaint

My husband and I bought a car from you 7 years ago. A Cobalt 2008 VIN# 1G1AL55F087339200. We were pressured into buying the undercoating and paid extra to have the warranty to cover our car for 10 years against rust. Not once did ANYONE tell us to make sure we had to get it checked every year and signed!!!! We were at your dealership at least 3-4 times a year with oil changes, breaks problems, rotors warping etc etc. Some things were warranty some we had to pay. In all those years and appointments times we were in the shop NO ONE EVER ASKED about the warranty undercoating or whether it should be checked OR for me to have anything signed. I remember asking DAN a few times about it and he always said "Oh no worries we check every year and touch it up as needed." We never worried about it because we trusted YOU!! So many opportunities to remind us of this signature page (which we were not told about) or reminded off in all the 7 years we have been faithfully trusting you to take care of our COBALT????? I kept all my receipts and have spent over $3000 over the last 7 years on this vehicle at your shop! A year or so ago I told DAN I had found rust. (at one of my oil change appts) He said he would note it and call the guy in charge. Never heard from DAN. Next time around I reminded DAN AGAIN and he said he would look into it. AGAIN nothing no phone call nothing. Then I called DAN and talked to him about it maybe Sept 2015. He told me the name of the guy and that I would have to go to LONDON to book an appt to have the rust looked at. Which I thought was not very convenient. I bought the car from GM Strathroy and now I need to drive to London? After having the car looked at, (BY A FELLOW FROM CULLENS) WE WERE ASKED FOR A PIECE OF PAPER WITH SIGNATURES ON IT?? I had no idea of paper this guy was asking about. Anyways, he said he would call me back. I AM STILL WAITING FOR A CALL. I have again received no phone calls from him or DAN as to what is happening. I am pretty sure you are not going to help me our with this rust. Your GM SHOP excels at "NOT GETTING BACK TO THE CUSTOMER!!" I am filling a official complaint against GM Strathroy

You fell for their line and bough something your didn't really need. Most cars nowadays don't really have a problem with rust as in the days of yore.

In fact, putting that rust-proofing gunk on the bottom of the car can cause rust! That is the conclusion of not only some studies years ago but of people who paid for places like Ziebart to do the job---remember them? The bottom line, tho is that somewhere in the paperwork given to you when you had it done they spelled out the yearly requirement for inspection. You didn't read it.

If you have a copy of it, read it. And weep. This is how we learn.

Good luck. And, with your new PM you will certainly need it.

General Motors - 2010 Gmc Terrain Review from Saint Catharines, Ontario

I brought my 2010 Terrain into John Bear in St.Catharines for recall work and scheduled a transmission flush. Two months later I was faced with a $4300 bill to replace the transmission. As I was towing a utility trailer and camping outside North Bay I needed something to get us home. I bought a 2015 Sierra with a trade in. On returning home I had a discussion with Bears and subsequently traded in the Seirra for a 2015 F150. I will never buy another GM vehicle after this incident. As a retired GM production worker this was not an easy decision.

General Motors in Brampton, Ontario - GMC Sierra 2010 4x4 5.3l

Just did the 5 year coolant change, the lack of a radiator drain plug requires removal of the lower radiator hose to drain. Location of the radiator hose is directly above the main frame rail and just below the radiator support bracket, lovely! Antifreeze all over the place as it drains right into and over the frame rail. Are you supposed to have a 4 foot diameter bucket handy? Environmentally unfriendly. Next the engine block drain plugs, on this vehicle they are not even visible and would require extensive component removal to access(starter , front axle drive shaft etc). Please send the design team for this vehicle to work for someone else, preferably far far away. (before I buy my next one).

General Motors - 2011 Gmc Sierra Review from Pembroke, Ontario

Hello, I've owned three gmc serria 's the last two being a 2008 and 2011 4.8l. Both the 2008 transmission torque convertor went three months after the warrenty with 10500 Kms an the other my 2011 just went less at 125000 km than 20 days after the warrenty and both were flushed on Time as per the manual and only did little duty occasional towing. I'm extremely disappointed as a long time gmc fan and customer. I will be replacing this truck in December now and am having trouble see how or why I Should buy another gm product. We pay more money for gmc to drive a premium product yet you dont see dodges or fords Replacing torque convertors Around 105 000 km to 130000 km. Both times I got very little concern from the dealer almost as if this was normal or expected. It's unfortunate not only for me but for gm as whole to keep putting out inferior products and not try to compensate or be responsible for their short comings in the interested of keeping repeat customers. Thanks rob k. Hopefully you read this gm and can address this for future customers.
