My 2010 gmc terrain has been in the repair shop so many times with the same problems,Timing chain's ,fuel pumps ,computer,abs, oil leaks,all wheel drive and more.The first motor needed to be replaced under 160000km.The brand new motor only lasted for 13000km the main rear oil seal has let go .The Gm dealer in Barrie Ontario Canada told me that the new motor would have a year warranty and it has only been 5 months now they are refusing to repair the motor under warranty.Gm customer support (1-800-263-3777) is all so refusing to help.Can someone help Please. I purchased a brand new 2010 Gmc Terrain in December 09. After 2 years needed a brand new engine. I'm a single mom with 2 boys and a special need child. I specifically told the salesman I needed a reliable car, yeah listen to what he sold me. New engine after 2 years needed a new transmission the year after. Was left stranded on the road twice with 2 kids inside. Now I have an oil leak. Bought a brand new car so I wouldn't have problems. Going to take this further very disappointed with the vehicle. Paid for brand new 2007. Mind you, as I'm writing this. My vehicle is in a shop with electrical issues. I've had my brakes machined 5 times before I switched to new aftermarket performance ones. List of things Long story...I have an old beat up garage, small. At the time I was interested in Honda CRV and Toyota Rav4. But both vehicles could not fit into garage due to height. Alternative was GM's Chevy HHR. Ideal in terms of fit for garage and capabilities. Went to one dealership Golden Mile now closed and put a deposit for Chevy HHR 2.4L LT model. They day I go and pick it up. The salesman tells me he sold it and ended up giving back my deposit. How terrible is that. Well I needed a work vehicle asap. So I searched around until I found one at North York Chevrolet now closed also due to restructuring of GM. Bought the vehicle through financing. The salesman told me he found one in Quebec. Was having it shipped to Toronto through flat bed. No problem. The night I go and pick it up with my brother. The vehicle has 800+ km on it. I asked how come so many kilometers. He said they drove it instead of flatbed. On contract he changed the numbers to show it had only 22km and there were a few stone chips on the hood. New to this. But now no I was taken for a ride as not informed consumer, my fault. When 7000+km roled around. I was having brake issues. Vibrations. This woreplaced for a supposed brand new vehicle, which I believe is a Lemon or a DEMO. Ball joints, heat shield twice, key fobs twice, front shocks replaced, sway bars twice, thermostat twice, power steering column twice or three times, rear seat pull up knobs twice, shifter *** broke off, clutch felt like it was going near 50000km documented through service at GM dealership. Mind you all my work until now has been through GM dealerships. My catalytic went. They wanted to charge me even though my vehicle had 130000km. At present my vehicle has 135000km on it. My sunroof flip up visor broke on the highway. Let see what else from what I can recall. The list is too long. I tried to get help through CAMVAP, OMVIC, local MPP, newspaper columnists, the news and finally through GM Canada Executive Review Board. All no help at all. Majority of issues were near 50000km. Now if you were to read Consumer Reports for year and model of my vehicle. It clearly states the vehicles has issues with front end suspension, brakes etc. GM kept blaming me for taking this vehicle off roading. I said in the city. Are you mad. They even weighed my vehicle with my tools and found it was not over the weight limit. How insulting is that. Even at 80000km when i talked to GM Canada about my issues. They told me to send them my documents from services performed at GM dealerships. I sent them in by mail. They claimed they never received them. What BS. I ended having another conversation with GM Executive Review Board again. This time I went in person to hand over all my documents. Mind you I was fortunate to buy extended warranty and pretty much used it all up for all the repairs not covered under warranty. As for GM Executive Review Board. The person in charge wanted to photo copy all my documents for verification and store into their system. Guess what happens. She tries photo copying my documents outside of her office and the machine breaks down. She ends up going else where on the floor and the machine breaks down again. Tells how bad things are going for GM. She ends up keeping my documents and mails documents back by FEDEX the following day. The only thing they can do for me is give me $1000-$2000 for my vehicle towards a new vehicle. Are kidding me. I said how could this vehicle pass inspection to be on the road. This is a death machine. I call it my hurst vehicle. Not willing to do a thing for me. Mind you my vehicle was paid in full. No outstanding debt to GM's ally financing. A lot of people on line through forums for this vehicle had similar issues but not to the extent that I've been through. Just changed my clutch with a friend. Only now have electrical issues. GM dealership had to reprogram my ECM. Talk about a big headache. This vehicle is a nightmare. I even requested to speak to the President of GM Canada to voice my displeasure for this vehicle and how no one is taking action for this Lemon. What kind new car buying experience has this been. *** terrible. This person from GM Executive Review Board can see clearly this vehicle has a long history of issues but is not willing to do anything. Even if nothing gets resolved by me writing this story. I hope it reaches the masses. I want GM to know how hurt I am as a customer. I learned to drive through GM, rented cars weekly when I got my license. I really did wish now I waited a year for the SS version of this vehicle. From everyone was saying about how great it was. I'll never know and don't want to know now from the torture I been through as a customer. Maybe it's because i'm asian. Never truly treated right as a customer. But hear wonderful things from friends through competitors, imports and euro. Just fabulous. Sorry to hear about your troubles. Tried to get rid of vehicle. No one wants to touch a lemon. Even low ball. I might as well give it away. I even read a story about someone who ran their vehicle into GM headquarters USA. I thought that was great justice. Seeing what I've been going through. Too bad he couldn't have used my vehicle. Mind you I don't need to go that direction with the law. Thanks for listening to my rants. There probably are more issues not listed. More off the top of my head.

Speedometer started to have a mind of it own. I would stop working all over the dial, then start again but now is stuck well pass the numbers..I don't understand why there is no recall, it should be classified as a safety issue, but apparently isn't, not sure the cops would not think this is a safety issue. There are many many reports instances of their failure but no follow up from GM It is a chevy cavalier in perfect working condition with exception of the instrument panel, and why would I replace it if there are so many complaints, it will fail again

I had a bad experience at a GM Chevrolet dealership, Courtesy Chevrolet in Etobicoke. At the moment we met with a salesperson, she told us there were only a few 2011 Cruzes left. She suggested to us that we put one of the cars on hold. We didn't back the money I got shocked and the tone of my voice started to get higher and I kept asking for the money. She got mad and told me to keep my voice down. She got fed up and walked away from us. I kept following her and asked her, "Who is your boss, can I talk with a manager?" She came back and yelled, "Get out of here or I will call you police!" She started to treat us like kids, instead of customers. She just walked away from us and She said " YOU ARE CRAZY" Can you believe it? She told her clients that they're crazy? When I heard that I froze, I was in shock. I didn't swear or say anything rude, because I didn't want to be like her. Fortunately we met the manager, because of the commotion, and the manager was very polite and solved the problem. I hope that anyone in the same situation doesn't pay for a hold on a car. Even if the salesperson says you will get the money back. When you buy a GM car, be cautious when dealing with Lesia . I'm still a little in shock from her.

My recent experience buying a new truck was not what I expected? I have always bought a ford pick-up since I could drive. I currently own a f150 crew cab 4x4 fx4 2004. I wanted to buy a new truck and of course use this as a trade. I went to 4 different dealers, one we deal with all the time. The dealer we delt with for years kept trying to push me to buy a truck I did not want every time we met, the same truck. I had all the requirements I desired in a truck,and still that truck always came into the picture. So I went to three other dealers , every dealer said the same thing "WHY DON'T YOU GO LOOK AT THE TRUCKS WE HAVE PICK ONE OUT AND WE'LL MAKE A DEAL". Not asking what I want ,and this time I had the specs on paper.Not one took a look at them. I received a letter in the mail from a local GM dealer, huge blow out sale.Spin the wheel and win a prize even if you don't buy. I went and to my surprise they looked at all my desires and specs . When I left I did not buy I went back to my ford dealer whom we buy from all the time,PERSONAL and BUSINESS. To my surprise he tried for the last time to push me on that blue truck,I was so pissed that my father went down to talk and they tried that blue truck again. After he left cussing and swearing I went and purchased a GMC.I don't know if I will be happy because like I said I always drove a FORD. Only time will tell. Thank you for reading WAYNE

I had 3 bushings replaced in the front end of my car because of a metal tapping noise.1 1/2 days later the noise was back. the cost of the repair,$800.00 with a 3 month labour warranty.taylor auto mall kingston ontario refused to uphold their warranty by rechecking the bushings to see witch one was defective,instead they came up with, its this problem, that problem, everything that cost me money,until the 3 month warranty expired,then said they will now charge me every visit. they have my $800.00 and my car still isn't fixed.nice repair and warranty scam
