Recently I had by Chevy vehicle (Tahoe) in for service at the repair shop of the local Chevy dealer. It was overheating. The Chevy repair shop identified the problem as a failed water pump. The sold me a new water pump, and installed it. $630 later I have my...

I had a 2015 Chevy Silverado that I bought brand new. I only got 3500 miles out of this truck when the BCM shorted out and my turn signals stopped working.

The dealer replaced the BCM but informed me that there was a ground short that they needed to find. After having the vehicle over a month they found that a wire was pinched in the courtesy light system when the right hand sun visor was installed at the factory. This wire was the reason the BCM shorted out. When I went to pick up the truck I was charged $800 dollars for parts and labor and told that this was not a warranty issue!!!

I took this matter up with GM corporate just to be told yet another month later that they were sorry but there was nothing they could do. SERIOUSLY???? 3500 MILES???

We USED to be loyal GM customers but I have since brought my business to Toyota. They have bent over backward to make certain I am a satisfied customer!!

General Motors in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Chevy Trailblazer transmission replacement - every 25,000 miles!

I recently took my SUV to the local Chevrolet dealership to have it serviced because it was near 75,000 and I had noticed a service engine light illuminated on the dashboard console last week. I purchased the SUV brand new and due to my limited driving habits the SUV has low mileage for a 10 year old vehicle. The service department called me a few hours after dropping off the SUV to explain to me the problem indicated by the service engine light. I was told that all four transmission fluid lines were leaking causing internal damage to the transmission and that it would need to be completely replaced. Under normal circumstances that may be a normal time for a transmission to go with the amount of time that I have owned the SUV and the mileage on the vehicle. However, this is now the third time the transmission has needed to be completely replaced and in addition, I recently spent quite a lot of money servicing the four wheel drive system on two separate occasions. The first transmission failure incident occurred in May, 2004 when the mileage was 23,895 followed by a second incident in January, 2008 when the mileage was 44,720. I contacted GM about this reoccurring issue and all they would offer me was a $1,500 customer loyalty rebate towards the purchase of a new GM vehicle. You think I want to buy another one of their defective vehicles and continue to replace the transmission every 25K miles. Thanks for nothing GM, I wish that the US government would have let you go bankrupt!

General Motors in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Fired for drinking on personal time due to HQ

I was the Hartford, # 036 GM for the last four years. Working my *** off to hit my numbers. Selling digs that did not need to be sold just to hit my numbers. I just found out that I am being fired for my drinking problem and my health issues. The best part is Roto Rooter Home Office in Cincinnati, Ohio has now given my GM job to Scott Coutant acting GM, who sells this digs to customers in the state of CT and MA that don't need to be sold. Giving free camera inspection to customers and then telling these customers that their is a problem in the main sewer line going to the street, which is Bull *** 95 % of the time. Thanks, Kevin Lanning.

No doubt your drinking may be related to the pressure the company puts on management to produce by breaking the law. The use of unlicensed people doing plumbing in CT was probably a huge stress on you

Get ready to be mocked Kevin. I doubt the users of this site are going to be sympathetic to you getting fired for having a drinking problem. Obviously your "drinking on personal time" was affecting your job in some way.

General Motors in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Who can you trust

GM is has the worst warranties ever. I have a 2008 Malibu ls I need a catalytic converter. Comes to find out one of there warranties cover it.they charge you a arm and a leg for car note. And there parts wear off fast.they warranties only cover minor parts.its seems like to me you can't trust no one with your money. If it want for us they wouldn't have no business. Windshied wipers no good you have to buy that at the dealship only.i had to get the front and back breaks fix. Sad

General Motors in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Chevrolet silverado

To Whom This May Concern: I had a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado. I bought it at 43000 miles at the Chevy dealer in Desoto, TX. They claims at the time of paper work, the vehicle is checkout find and in perfect condition. I got the vehicle home, at the next morning there is a loud vibration noise from the engine. I immediately bring it to the Chevy dealer (Plano, TX) to get it checkout since it is out of Guaranteed. I paid a $100 for the diagnostic fee—they claims that this is a flaw in it design, but the vehicle check out fine. I drove the vehicle for couple of thousands miles then the engine started to leak oil and smell antifreeze. I replace all the hoses new, but the antifreeze smell still there. Shortly later the Air conditioning leak. I got it fix at Chevy dealer, and then the Air Conditioning goes bad again, I got it fix again. Then later, the antifreezer smell turns out to be the heater core. It cost me a $1000 to get it fix (Raymond Chevrolet (Marieta, GA)). At the mean time, they also mess up my vehicle, the windshield noise (leak). Of course, they claim this windshield noise is normal without checking it out or fix it. The next problem is the antifreeze is go empty all the time and my check engine light again comes on. I spend money again at Reliable Chevrolet (Richardson, TX) for diagnostic, they said Coolant and oil mix together and would cost around $1000 to fix it. Again, I paid to get it fix. The engine oil is getting worse. At the dealer where I got my truck repair, Those service engineer got bad attitude toward customer. This is at Reliable Chevrolet, and is worst at Steve Raymond Chevrolet in Marieta, GA. Bought a GM vehicle is my biggest mistake. --- I then file a consumer report, GM again call offer me a $500 that can redeem at the dealer for a new car (at Chevy). I turn down the offer, saying that I will not buy another junk from Chevy again. This is my story. I will tell this story again. Email me if you want to get in touch with me at johnltran@yahoo.com

I Bought a 2006 Chev Silverado with 12,OOO Klm

along with an extended warranty covering bumper to bumper. I noticed that I had a transmission oil leak at 27,000 Klm. So I brought it to my GM dealer in Kapuskasing Ont. (Eastview)for a check up, and at the same time ask them to change the fuel filter.

The next day I was told that all 3 transmission lines were leaking and needed to be changed and that the warranty would not cover it. It would cost a total of $631.00. Later on I find out that this was not new to GM. It seem that many clients had the same problem. The transmission lines were of poor quality and since this is not a safety issue it was not important to warn the client before the original warranty ran out. This is how GM treat it clients. On top of this I received a Bill of $64.00 for the fuel filter change, which I d'int mind. Two days later I received a phone call saying that they made a mistake on the bill and that the fuel filter was actually $101.00 plus labor for a total of $129.00 + tax.

Four month ago I had Bought a 2010 Buick enclave from the same dealer. I was treated like a King. I had notice a defect on one of the chrome rim wheel. I was assured by the sale man that it would be replaced. So far I have not received anything. My complaint to the General Manager have fallen on deaf ears. It seem that I am no longer an important client and since I am 62 years old they think I wont be buying any more vehicles

Rest assure that GM has lost a client and I will never buy a GM vehicle again.
