Purchase a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox LT in August, 2012 when GM had the no discount program in place. Such a ripoff. I seen now I can buy a 2019 LT for the same price or less. Such a disappointment. To top that, I had to be informed by an individual that I own an oil...

General Motors in Bryan, Ohio - No tralor brake controller on 2017 chevy silverado ltz

2.2
Details
Bought 2017 chevy silverado ltz z71 with trailor package only to find out it does not have a trailer brake controller and to make matters worse you cannot buy a factory Dash mounted trailer brake controller for the truck without spending a lot of money $1,000 or more so I ended up having to put a aftermarket trailer brake controller on myself mounted down below the dash and looks terrible what in the *** was GM thinking when you pay $50,000 for a truck and they can't put a trailer brake controller on it from the factory

General Motors in Jacksonville, Florida - Breaking door handles on my Escalade

2.0
Details
I have a 2010 Cadillac Escalade and purchased it from Fields Cadillac in Jacksonville Florida. I've had to replace three door handles (2-Jax. / and 1- Georgia) since purchasing in 2013. I do not think GM take this issue serious as being a safety issue. It only tales one death due to these faulty door handles where a person's life could have been saved. You can best believe after being a witness to this defective product, I will do whatever is possible to see GM pay for a faulty product they shrug their shoulders. I'm fortunate to be able to spend the $300 immediately for the repair because of my family's safety. Not everyone can afford the rip-off fees charged by GM. This is the last GM vehicle I will ever purchase.

I purchased my 2012 Chevy Traverse brand new with a 5 years payment and had it paid off in 21/2 years. Therefore they would not grant the warranty of 100,000. miles for the engine. My 2012 Chevrolet Traverse While operating the vehicle, "reduce engine power" and...

Obviously, when you disconnected the battery something in the computerized system now on all cars got messed up. Your best option is to have the car towed to your local chevy dealer and see if they can find the problem.

Unless you have a local mechanic who has the necessary equipment and testing machines they will all just be guessing as to what is wrong.

A dealer's mechanic should be able to find the problem. Good luck, but something got "turned off" when the battery was removed and a good dealer's mechanic should be able to find it.

I drive about 80 miles one way to work every day .I have owned many Chevy trucks in my life I think there is none better.but the last few I owned from year 2000 to present have had very poor quality parts that are oem ,I would just like to say things are supposed to get better ,last longer with technology progressing the way it is ,but it seems g.m. is getting worse and worse on the parts they install now ,maybe Ford is a better choice in this times

General Motors in Toluca De Lerdo, Estado De México - Frustrated, and disappointed

I have a 2013 Sierra Z71 5.3 liter, leather. Nice truck, right? At 94,000 miles the transmission had to be replaced. The price tag on that repair was $4,226. Add to that the rust that is consuming the vehicle and rattling interior panels. Makes for a disappointing experience. Good luck recieving assistance at their dealerships with issues like this. I’m wondering how GM justifies the $50,000 price tag for this truck. Given its a pile of crap in only 5 years.

I have had bad experiences with engines and powertrains of GM cars. If you plan to keep your car for over 5 years do not buy GM. My 2001 Chevrolet minivans had intake manifold problems, luckily fixed under warranty. Then, one of the minivan had engine gasket failure....
