General Motors - Car Review from Houston, Texas

My car was dropped off In April for a recall. I have a rental from April up until now. Last week I get a call from the dealership (Classic) that my car was ready over a month ago and that I would have to foot the rental car bill. Astonished, I feverishly began trying to resolve the issue. I have a mother diagnosed with stage 4 grade 3 cancer and this nonsense with the rental car is something that I can not afford considering my mother's medical bills are lofty. I called the Customer Specialist number followed by the CEM. Unlike promised, the CEM did not call me within the 48 hour window. I had to call him. I have yet to have this resolved. GM placed the blame of Enterprise. Enterprise has no dealings. Honestly GM has two phone numbers and an address on record. There were multiple numbers to get in contact with. I tracked the phone numbers and there were two calls made by the dealership. This is beyond ridiculous. Consumers have already lost faith in the GM brand , now poor customer service diminishes the brand integrity beyond repair.

General Motors in Houston, Texas - Autonation chevrolet gulf freeway sold it to me dented brand new car!!!!!!!!!

i think that they need to have policy about drive and see the cars first.they did not allow me to test drive and see cars,i saw 2013 volt after I signed the contract. I saw the car from internet dealer web page ,there was a dent on the car, scratch in backside of the car,some screws have dust on it,stop light was not working,it looks like not brand new car,i tried to return ,they did not accept after 2 days passed....they are not treating customer well.I am not satisfied with their treatment and stay away from this company ,they are not honest and not telling truth.They are not informing customer before ,they are telling me we did not know,we will fix it,do not fix .this brand new car.tell me truth before i buy this car.stay away from them

Still refuse to help.

Contacting GM customer service was a waste of time.

I just spent $4,435 to repair a GM defect that they refuse to take care of. The fuel injectors on the diesel LB7 motor are known problems. GM will only repair if it happens within 7 years or 200K miles. I have a 2003 GMC with 120K miles. GM would not repair. Had to spend $4,435 on a truck worth $12k. I will never buy another vehicle from Obama motors. Our tax money bailed them out and then they stiff their customers. Never again you *** My wife and I have always bought GM. Not any more! They cater to the Chinese and screw their American customers. Bunch of paid-off union traitors!

get real-----120,000 miles and you think gm should pay --your a dreamer and part of whats wrong with america---u should have could have done the work yourself and saved a bundle-but that takes "effort".....when citizens don't act fairly-and expect handouts-then angrily buy a toyota----then in time -we end up with a screwed up USA just as it now is-bankrupt-----way to go !!

I own a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am GT. The dashboard started curling after about 5 years. I contacted the dealership and was told there was no recall and the car was out of warranty. The only solution was to have the dashboard and vents replaced to the tune of $1,100!!! ...

You buy a used American car and expect what? Historically, American cars have placed far behind the German & Japanese in quality.

If you want pristine quality you should buy new.

If you have a beer budget why would you expect Champagne taste? Next time perform the minimal amount of due diligence before spending your hard earned money and you will discover your headaches will be minimized.

General Motors in Houston, Texas - Wrong diagnosis and arrigance cost me 33 days without driving my camera

After my 18th. new car from General Motors I expect to be driving a Ford from now on due to Lone Star Chevys wrong diagnosis and General Motors arrigance.I was 33 days getting a headlight plugned in and even then I had to take the car to another dealer to get it fixed. I asked for rembursment for the rental car and was told that this did not cause the car to be inoperable .Thats not exactly what the DPS officer seemed to think when he stopped me for no headlight. I contacted the BBB Auto line and was told thi did not fall under their guidelines.

General Motors in Houston, Texas - Unsafe vehicle

i have 2005 chevy malibui in which the dr seat frame broke a part where the frame part had had been welded together at the factor the seat framing collapsed causing my wife to nearly having vehicle accident.the failure seem to be do the the machine doing the welding of the parts was too hot are the metal use in the construction was inferior.GM refuse to do any thing about this problem it clearly poorly constructed part.this problem could cause lost of control of vehicle with GM turning a blind eye on this matter put people lives at risk.
